Email stated that it had been scanned by Mcafee and contained no viruses. Well stupid me didn't update my Norton antivirus yesterday and I became infected with the new W32.Yaha.K@mm virus. This virus automatically disables your antivirus software, took me about 2 hours to completely clean up my computer. DO NOT open this email - delete it right away. I don't want to see anyone go through what I have for the last 2 hours. And update your antivirus software DAILY. Hope this helps some people out there. Kendra

My virus scan does not work on anything, apparently. I never get warned. I just don't open many emails that contain attachments. Thanks for the heads up, PB
ben Prowler Junkie Posts: 182 From: Bradenton, FL Registered: FEB 2001	posted 01-01-2003 10:17 PM Even if it is your MOTHER who emails you, don't open any attachments that end in .vbs, .scr, .com, .bat, .exe or .js -- Most email viruses will utilize the victims machine to send emails to those they have sent mail to in the past with the virus attached as a funny note. -Ben
