It's been quite a while since I've been on the board. On Monday November 25th an 18 year old boy forced his way into my mother's house and brutally beat her with a steel pipe and left her for dead. She had nine gashes in her head all at least 3 inches long and after she lost conciousness he must have continued to beat her as her entire back was completely black. She layed bleeding on her kitchen floor for an estimated three hours and then regained conciousness just long enough to dial the phone for help. Lucy and I have just about lived in the hospital since then. She has made a miraculous physical recovery and was released from the hospital on Christmas eve. Her short term memory is still going to take some time to recover but she has made big strides in that area also. We believe our prayers for a full recovery have already been answered. Just a little more time needs to pass.Ed Monahan, I was very sorry to hear about your sisters cancer and please know that she is in our prayers. Rich and Linda Ware, We will continue to pray for your son-in-law and his family as well as the both of you. CJ, I know you were devastated(relieved) to not recieve an official NITEMAN birthday poem. I promise to catch you next year. I hope your birthday was wonderful. Ed, Dave, WildBill and MeanGene...I could sure use some of your abuse to get me back in the swing of things. To all of our Prowler friends.......We have missed you tremendously and hope to see you all again in the coming year.

Bill & Lucy, I am certainly sad to hear the beginning of that story but the ending of the story gives you a lot of hope. It was nice that your mom got home for Christmas. I will remember her in my prayers, too. Hopefully she will have a quick and complete recovery. Did she know the kid? Did they catch him? It is pretty hard to give you any abuse at this time, but I am sure we will be able to re-load and give you some grief in the near future. We are looking forward to seeing you once the weather gets nice again. Happy New Year to Lucy, you and your mom.

Thank you all for your prayers and kind words. Believe me, they are appreciated and they do make a difference. I just wanted to let everyone know that there have been three arrests made and the person who did this is behind bars. The weapon was recovered and still had my mother's blood on it. The whole thing was pre-meditated and robbery was not the motive. The police won't give us any more information yet but when it breaks loose I'll post it here. Thanks again for your support.
