This morning our Son-in-Law Brian Mikesell in Utah was in a bad car accident during inclement weather. He has suffered severe head trauma and the next 72 hours are critical. Please say a prayer for Brian, our daughter Christie, and their three kids that Brian will come out of this OK. We appreciate it very much.

....I can only wish the best for Brian.... youth is on his side for recovery....be strong and patient during this time....I suffered severe a head trauma when I was young, also from an auto accident...recovery seemed a little slow at times, but the human body has amazing powers.....talk to him as much as you are able or as much as he is allowed...he will know you are there....I was unconscious for nine days, but I remember to this day nearly everything that surrounded me during that period of time..........sometimes when things seem the darkest, a miracle appears out of nowhere.....please keep us posted on his recovery, please......

Thanks to all of you for your prayers. Brian is still in a medically induced coma. The swelling has gone down significantly as well as the pressure on his brain. It was at 25 and its now down to 6. They initally thought he had gone for about 20 minutes without oxygen to his brain, but the EMTS have now confirmed to the Doctors that he did not stop breathing. This is excellent news. He initally went through 3 1/2 hours surgery on Friday and they don't know if he will require more. There is still one small clot they are concerned about. He did try to breath on his on, but they prefer that the machines do the berating for him at this time. Linda and I can't express what all of your support and prayers have meant to us. From deep within our hearts we thank you so very very much. We don't know for sure, but I don't think Brian was wearing his seat belt. His car did roll over. I beg that all of you insure you and everyone you know, use them even for the shortest drive.
