GenoTex,Pull the spark and throttle towards you - when you are in the driver seat, push the starter - (extra pedal),adjust the throttle(choke) in - AS NEEDED. 6 VOLT SYSTEM.

Dont know if they're 12's but they are huge! Not for winter use... just storage this time of year... but today it's a nice warm slightly snowy 27 deg! Obstruct your vision? 'Bout all YOU need to worry about is what's in your rearview! the 31's a 2-dr, 5window... the 33 a 4dr (suicide rear) sedan.... dk grn & blue, respectively... Pics after they get a lil detailin

GTex, pedals look just like my '27 Chevy roadster. When you asked "So... I BOTH pull the throttle AND depress the accelerator?", yes n no, and not quite. What I'll tell you becomes obvious when you go to start the car - your right foot is on the starter "button", so the throttle control on the steering wheel becomes essentially a hand operated gas pedal. The right foot is already busy. Think of adjusting the gas on a push type lawn mower when you start it. You have throttle control, it's just used by hand instead of foot. This lever also doubles as an early cruise control!

GTex, not to further confuse you, MY throttle control and spark advance are on the steering wheel hub. YOURS sound like they are on the dash. Sorry for any confusion. As a side note, I had an early Honda Civic back in the Seventies. That car had a dash mounted Choke - used two notches when it was really cold, one notch for general starts, and after is was warmed up just leave it "in". The car was a total rust bucket, but boy would it go! I miss that car sometimes! Rings were going on the engine, but once it warmed up, would it ever go! Every couple days I'd "check the gas" and "fill the oil". Great car for college!
