Not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but here goes. Is anyone camping in the Smokies. I have a little A-Liner and would like to camp so I can bring my trusty dog Missy with me. I would like to camp where others might be or close to the Hotel. Please let me know so I may make reservations. Promise my doggy is good. |

Taz, we used to camp in the Smokys but not close to that hotel. I will see what I can find out for you, though. I am positive there will be some campgrounds close by, since Dollywood is really close by. |

Ed: Thank you very much will appreciate any help I can get. I am not real versed at this trailer thing. I took it to South Dakota this summer and un-hooked it before I had the wheels blocked, needless to say here I am on my bums digging in with my feet to stop it from rolling down the hill. I saw a man's foot, by looking under the trailer, next to me and started saying sir, sir, finely he heard me and came to my aid. Hopefully I will be better next year. Should probably do a couple of dry runs. No matter what it will be fun. |

taz/Ed - I believe I remember someone posting the name of a campground on the Prowlin the Smokies thread in the events section. I will try to find it tonight and see what it says. |

Marty, Ron & Sue Clark are camping, If you call a 95 foot motor home, camping!! Taz, you are in luck. Ron & Sue are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They said that there is a 4 star campground 1.6 miles from the hotel. I would think it is right near Dollywood. Taz, we will get all the info within a day or two. I will send them an email or they will see this and contact you. |

Taz, Check out the following site http://www.smokymountaindreams.com/camping.html for camp grounds in the Smokies. I have stayed in the Crazy Horse Camp Ground a couple of times, but that was back in the early eighties. If they have maintained it, and I have no reason to think they didn't, it is a really nice one. I would highly recommend it. It has the amenities of a great camp ground, with lots of fun things for kids as well. Kraut |
