Anyone have any take on the Ford SVT Cobra?

Seems impressive with 395 hp and low 12's in 1/4
Do they hold their value or are like any other car out there?

A good daily driver?

THx

A Prowler with 150 HP shot of nitrous makes a good daily driver for me.

Sorry - I don't have any family or friends that own any Mustang that I am aware of, so I can't answer your question.

YellowFever,

My Saleen was suppose to hold its value and when I got around to selling it, reality hit, no such thing.

I paid $50,000 for it and you can now find them for $30K + used ...

I was bummed.....

My take is the Cobra will be the same thing. Just a car and will loose value.

Later...

I have a friend that has one. (retireed Ford employee) he drives it all of the time. He just put winter tires and wheels on it for those great Indiana winters. He loves it.

Thanks all. I guess I was more concerned about reliability.

I know they will loose value like any other car (silly to ask)

Any major issues/problems with these?

His only has about 12,000 on it, but says that it has not been back for anything and he is pretty particular about his cars. I have not seen anything bad about the Mustang's in any of the trade papers that we get at work.

YF,

There's a girl i work with that's "in to cars" that has a 98. She uses it as a daily driver. She has had more than her fair share of issues. Of course it isn't babied either.

My Saleen is at 17,000 miles and have not had any issues as of yet. But I need to add that I have kept away from the dealer.

Everytime I would take a car to a ford dealership for service, for some reason all of a sudden my car would begin to fail for all kinds of reasons.

They want to keep the saying "Fixed Or Repaired Daily", "Found On Road Dead" and so on.

Thanks all. Seems like a good car provided you don't use the dealership for service.

I saw a 2003 the other day and it looked like a hoot to drive. 400 ponies and a 6-speed.
