Went last night to pick up our new yorkie puppy for the kids for Christmas and drove the prowler. When we were just about ready to leave his young son came in he door and said "Dad theres a silver Prowler in the driveway!" He asked me if that was ours and I said yes. He then told me he owned a yellow prowler and a viper, but had just sold them both and the people were coming to pick them up this weekend. Told him that was too bad since if he had joined up with the POA he could have had a great time with all of us. He said he definitely preferred the Prowler over the Viper because it was a much better car to drive and alot more reliable! Since they live out in the country he has to drive on alot of rock roads though and he didn't like to drive either car down those types of roads. He bought a truck instead. Tami

Tami,

Good luck with the Yorki puppy. First dog? We got a pup about this time last year that was our second dog after the passing of our first. She’s an Australian Shepherd. Great dog. Although she’s still a puppy at times. Very well behaved from lots of training. Hope all goes well with the new family member this Christmas and beyond.

Oh yea, cool that you ran into a Prowler owner too.

Thanks everyone! His name is Bruno and he's a cutie. We had to put a bell on him so we would know where he was so we wouldn't step on him. He's weighing in at a whole 1.7 pounds right now! Just before Ken and I got married we bought our first dog - an old english sheepdog named Bo, she was a great dog and we had her for 12 years until she died of cancer. Jamie was so distraught by her passing that we bought her a Dalmation named Blue, but Blue developed a brain tumor at 6 months that was inoperable and we had to put her down too. We then got another old english named Bear that we had until a few months ago and he too died of cancer. Ken has his buddy - a 12 year old german shepherd named Bo (short for Rambo) also and he is failing in health, so to help the kids work through it when it comes time to put Bo down we decided to get a smaller dog for them to be able to sleep with, etc. He has already won their hearts and is well on his way to being totally spoiled rotten. Now, when you've had 80 lb. dogs and go to under 2 pounds that is one heck of an adjustment! He's adorable and has a great personality already at 10 weeks. Thankfully I just bought a new carpet cleaner and we've had to shoo him away from the electrical cords already. If we can make it past Christmas with all of the fun things he sees to get into we'll do great! Tami

Tami, take some chili, wipe the exposed chili onto any cords... that will stop that.

Wow - I've heard of hot sauce, but never chili. I may try that one! Thanks Todd

It's pretty amusing to watch them find out it's got chili on it too Sure stops them from chewing on the cords. But don't forget to get them their very own chew toys too. They need this, or they will find something to chew on.

Oh I know - that's the one thing we found out early on with the big guys - they chew on everything if they run out of chew toys so this little guy already has several of his own, unfortunately he still prefers to chew on everything that's not his. He'll learn, but we have to watch him every second so far. Not to worry though with Kylie and Kristian around he gets a ton of attention. Thanks Todd! Tami

I had the pleasure of meeting Bruno this past weekend. Cute little booger. Tami and Ken were kind enough to let me drain some extra oil the dealership installed. Turns out, the blowby wasn't blowby. It was oil from the rear bearing that resides in front of the tranny. It was replaced, but still problems. Kat is still in shop.

It's the red chili powder (cayenne pepper), by the way - not chili con carne!!!

Oh okay - I was wondering how I was going to manage putting chili on the cords without making a mess! Thanks for the clarification! I had used cayenne pepper in the past as a paste on one of my chairs that our other dog decided looked more like a raw hide!

Oh man JP - what a bummer! I'm so sorry to hear about that, but glad you made it back without problems!! Good luck on the fix! That explains why you had that "rattling" coming from the back of your car. I had initially thought it was from your exhaust. I hope it all turns out well! Tami

Congratulations - Looks like a lot of a fun--kind of like a Prowler. As a matter of fact they are kind of alike, both need lots of washing, can leave messes in the garage etc. Went by the Basket Mart to get some Christmas presents for Gail, only one bike on the street. So glad you could come last Sunday.

Hey George! It was great seeing you and Geoff again - we'll all have to get together and do a run to Granbury after the holidays! Tami
