quote: Before anybody gets confused: I was not, repeat NOT, ever married to Alley Cat. I will sue anybody that even infers that. Before this gets off topic - again I congratulate CJ & Bob on their anniversary. Bob - you better be thinking about what you're going to get CJ for 40. It may take five years to figure out how to top the Candy Red kat. |

Thanks everyone for the wishes........... PK..........sometimes I wonder the same thing...where have the years gone? Sometimes it's hard to remember when I wasn't married (I was 18) and other times it doesn't seem like it has been 35 years!!
quote: Ouch, Todd!! Nothing like aging a person!!
quote: WB.......why do you think he skipped that one!? However, Mr. Ohio State College grad.........if you know how to subtract........you'll figure out that the cats weren't even around yet! lol!
quote: Too funny.........especially when there are times when you think you just might need it!! lol!
quote: Marty.........I don't think the Candy Cat could be topped. I feel so blessed that I have two cats......... don't need anymore....... A/C.........you're right about that....marriage is not an easy thing......and like everyone else, we've been through our ups and downs..........but we've been very fortunate to have had far more ups than downs. When my son was 21, he came to me and asked me how old I was when his Dad and I got married (he was preparing to propose to his now wife). I was hoping that question would never come. I told him I was 18 and Bob was 20, but that being so young, the odds were against us. We started dating the end of April, 1967, got engaged in July, 1967 and were married Nov. 25, 1967 (only 7 months time)!!! We've been fortunate. He told me he wanted to propose to his girlfriend (they'd been together almost 5 years) and I told him the best advice I could give him was to remember that marriage is a lot of work........daily....and the most important thing to learn was how to communicate with each other. He wanted to know why I felt it was "work". Don't you get married and live happily ever after? I told him that even though they'd been together that long, it would be very different once they were actually married. He says now......after being married 11 years, he understands what I meant!! I pray they will make it to 35 years, too........and from what I've seen.......I'd make bets they will! This message has been edited by CJ on 11-26-2002 at 10:13 PM |
