I'm finally back home. Thanks to everbody for your prayers and good wishes - they truly make a difference!!!!!!!!!
I have four new bypasses and a cool titanium defibrillator inside my chest. I feel like I've been beaten up by professionals, but look forward to a speedy recovery and a new start on life. If all goes well, I can drive again in six weeks. I'll probably be planning more Prowler mods during this time.
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness!

Rich, things must have gone well on the second surgery if you are home and posting. Glad to see you are doing that well. We discussed your health today at the cruise in. Did you have the titanium chromed or polished before they installed it? lol.

Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers. I came thru everything very well. All my staples and stitches are out, except for the permanent ones holding my sternum together. I'm walking 3 times daily for 10 minutes per trip and increasing that until I get to 20 minutes. My lungs are almost completely clear. I just feel like I was beat up real good - lots of bruises all over my large body. I've lost 24 pounds which is a very good thing, but I would definitely NOT recommend this surgery to anyone for that purpose. If all keeps going well, I will be able to drive my Prowler in another week - if that doesn't happen, I will not tip the surgeon or give him anything for Christmas this year! I also found out that my Fibrillator is not the same brand as Mr. Cheney's, but is exactly like the one Elton John had implanted, so I should have a pretty good beat now and be able to write a few songs or play piano.
What a great group of people. I haven't met most of you, but you feel and act like friends and it's great to have many friends!!!!!!!!!!

Rich, are you feeling real flamboyant and dressing wildly, too? Glad you are on the mend. Take your time and don't rush things. Get healed so you don't have any set backs.
