My wife and her 2 sisters and 2 cousins flying in from Holland want to go to NY for a few days for a visit and to visit the site of the WTC. can anyone recommend any hotels that are in an area that would give them a central spot to there, and of course shopping "sigh" they would also like to go see a play a musical or what ever is going on at that time. Now remember also they are looking for something not to expensive so they have more money to shop with LOL. thks for any help here PK

The theater district and Times Square are centered around 42nd St. (up to about 49th, I think) and Ground Zero is all the way at the bottom of Manhattan. Tell them to take the Staten Island Ferry just to get a good view of the city. It is very cheap to ride. Central Park is around 60th St to 90 something St.

Registered: JUL 2000	posted 10-03-2002 02:41 PM righa royal, in midtown, perfect for shopping and only 20 blocks for WTC, Also Ritz Carlton @battery park city good for WTC and about 15 blocks for shopping. W hotel is also nice. I have stayed at all 3 three and they are fine
