Those of you who know me are aware that I have an addiction to anything Plymouth. Well, today after much research through old records and with the help of the Plymouth Club, I can honestly say I have the first Plymouth. As it turns out my car is the oldest surviving 1928 Model Q 2-door sedan. There are only 3 cars left that are older than mine. There are two survivng 4-door sedans and one phaeton that pre-date mine. Now, if I can just get Monahan behind the wheel, I can take a picture of one of the oldest Plymouths with one of the oldest drivers

Dave
At a carshow last weekend there was a 28 Plymouth, all original, wooden 20" wheels that ran. The guy found it at a garage sale in Grand Lake a year or so ago. He was thinking of restoring it but decided not to as it gets so much attention. I wanted to have a picture taken with it and my car but had to leave early. I understand one of the local Prowler owners did get his with the '28. Now that would be a shot, the first and last Plymouth models together.

AC: I still have my first car also. It is a 1951 Plymouth. The car was given to me by my Grandfather in 1969. He bought it in 1955.

Dave - KOOL,,,,,those old Plymouths are real solid cars. I forgot to mention that my uncle's 49, he is the original buyer, think it cost around $1500 new,,,,,still has original paint on it but I think he should repaint it due to door nicks along both sides. My dad's first car was a '47 Plymouth 2-dr sedan,,,,,,wish I still had it! Keep what you got Dave, the Plymouths have to stay in your family for another 100 years.

Ed,
Thanks for verifying that Dave was at the first Thanksgiving. I thought so but I would not have posted that since it would have been second hand info. Glad someone that could have actually seen him there posted it instead. LOL Hey check out this warning sign we saw while checking out Natural Bridge this past Saturday. Oh, and Dave, that's pretty cool about your car. Looking forward to seeing you and Brenda at Skyline.

Niteman, I think I got a backhanded compliment mixed in there. Dave, what do you mean, "a shot". I thought I was complimenting you.

Gene, I was gonna cut this one up and street rod it also. But, I got a lot of irate phone calls from the Plymouth Owners Club because this is such an early one. So I guess it will stay original.
