Sandy bought a commemorative brick for me that will be at the new Cin'ti Reds Park. My first offering was Put Pete in HOF Oust Bud Selig Ed Monahan-Fan That was rejected since it was negative. I had to come up with a new one. The deadline is next week. 15 letters per line, including spaces, 3 lines. My next offering was Pete 4256 Bud Zero Ed Monahan-fan That did not make the cut either. Maybe it is the last line that they find offensive. Anyone have a catchy thought I can use?

Ed,I have an 9x10 of Rose hitting the record setter. A firend was at the game and took it, had some blown up. Only one guy is standing with his hands over his head, everybody else is still gasping and wondering, The ball is in the pic too. I intended to give it to my Uncle, a life long die hard baseball and Reds fan (from Xenia). He turned on Rose after the gambling thing, and turned on baseball after the strikes, and then well, he passed on. His son doesn't want it so I tried to sell it on Ebay. No takers. I'm not really a baseball fan... You want it? Mike

Heck yes, I want it. Thank you very much. I am in the process of getting a 1956 photo re-done. It has way too much red tint in it and I have had it re-done several times and it still is not good enough. It has Birdie Tebbets, the Manager, Frank Robinson, Wally Post, Gus Bell, Johnny Temple, Roy McMillan, Ed Bailey and Ted Kluszewski in it. Ed Monahan 355 Grand Ave Cincinnati, OH 45205 How much do I owe you? Thanks again. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 08-23-2002 at 06:12 PM

Ed - Big Ted K. ?? Haven't heard his name mentioned in years. When I was a kid playing ball, I'd cut the short sleeves out of my t-shirts so my arms would look like Ted's. I once led the summer league in doubles one year,,,,,,others said they would be triples if I could run faster

Wiffle ball? He is one of the beloved Reds here. He played football at Indiana U or Indiana State. He was one big guy.

Ed, you don't owe me any money, but I may make you park next to me the next time we're at a cruise in!Remember I just moved, but I think I know where that picture is! I'll look for it today. Mike p.s. My Grandmother was a die hard reds fan too. I can remember Chico Ruiz hitting a game winning homer on I-75 at Crosley Field. My Grandmother bought me one of those little bats that day, a Johnny Edwards model... This message has been edited by jmcant1 on 08-25-2002 at 09:36 AM

Mike, we used to go to Crosley Field and sit in the box seats for a double header and get sunburned beyond recognition. I remember one Sunday when they played the Phillies and Richie Ashburn must have fouled off 30 pitches that day. He was known for fouling off pitches until he got one he liked. I think we were glowing in the dark, that night.
