I am really having a hard time deciding what vacation I like the most. The POA trip to The Grand Canyon was great because it was our first Prowler outing (without the Prowler) and we met a lot of great people who we have become friends with. Prior to that I had only met one local Prowler owner and I have never seen him since.
We took a cruise to Alaska a few years ago and that was fabulous with great weather. I think the best trip was the 9 day raft trip thru the Grand Canyon. It wasn't glamorous, that's for sure and I had to get up every morning at the crack of dawn (or earlier) but we went to bed when the sun went down. That was the first vacation Sandy and I had taken together, other than one or two day trips and that is probably why I have such fond memories of the trip. The rest of the trip was great as well.
The motorcycyle ride to Nova Scotia and back was right up there and the cruise thru the Panama Canal was pretty good, too. ALL the POA trips have been really a lot of fun.
Be sure to include the reason the trip was so good.

Best POA event so far - Colorado. Beautiful scenery, new and old friends, and Prowlers - great combination.

Best vacation - Spending the day after Christmas to New Year's Day 1999-2000 in New Zealand. Watching the rest of the world celebrate the year 2000 after us, then going to Australia for a week culminating in our first ocean scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef. We probably will never top that trip!!

A virtual tie here:

1) Trip to Sandals St. Lucia, an all-inclusive resort in the south eastern carribean, where I proposed to Jo Ann on the beach at 2 in the morning (she said "yes'!)

2) Trip to Sandals Antigua and Sandals St. Lucia for our honeymoon a year and a half later.

The 2002 National Prowler Event was my best vacation ever. Very relaxing,,,,,,,,,,,,except when following Marc and Marty going to the Royal Gorge Your reflexes had to be at 105% when following these guys at those speeds My reason for ranking this vacation at the top was because:

No kids asking when we will be there?

The beautiful places we got to travel to and see.

I didn't have to lead the pack, lol.

The opportunity to see old friends and make new ones.

The seat time in the Prowler on a 3,000 trip = awesome!

Having my lady along who didn't bitch about anything, and enjoyed the experience with me!!!

Vacation....I'll have to look that word up in the dictionary! I own my on business. A vacation is more that 3 days off in a row.

Best POA Vacation event is hard to say. It would have to be tie between the 2000 Woodward and 2002 CO event. Woodward because it was our first National Event at we got to meet so many people and cruise with them for the first time, not to mention the first tour of CAAP etc. CO because of the beautiful scenery, excellent cruising, a large numbers of Prowlers and owners in attendance. An as a bonus we got to visit with 3 of our 6 children, and 8 of our 13 granchildren (whom live in UTAH just prior). There is one other very memorable POA event. That is the end of production CAAP tribute in Feb. It really was too short to be a vacation, but something I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life.

Best vacation would have to be Cancun.

The ULTIMATE vacation (outside Prowler events) is Cruising the Caribbean!!!

I invite your family to join Nancy and I, along with lots of Cat Owners (without their Cats) for Prowlin' the Seas adventure in February 2003.

Why? Only your personal experience can reveal WHY as it is beyond any relaxation you have ever known. If relaxation is not your only motive, then there are lots and lots of things to do... things you may never have an opportunity to do anywhere else.

Oh... and the FOOD!

Enjoy, Jay
