about 6 months ago I started looking for dustless brake pads for the PT. I thought I had some but they turned out to be the wrong part. They told me to expect them in late Feb., then March and here it is July and I still have not heard from them. Jon at Parts Rack refunded my money (doubled it, actually, due to the long delay). Anyone ever find any ceramic or other dustless pads for their PT? Also about 6 months ago I divulged the fact that you can purchase gasoline from service stations that are closed for the evening by using a credit card since the pumps are not shut down, due to the fact they have to be pressurized. Has anyone else tried it yet? I finally found a U Haul sport trailer and checked it out this evening. Every sticker on the thing says it is a UHaul, protected by copyrights. Another sticker says if you are using this trailer without the paperwork from U-Haul you are guilty of receiving stolen goods. On the inside there is a message engraved into the fiberglass stating it is UHaul property and it is not to be resold. Anyone know who makes those trailers? Anyone have a friend high up in the corporation. The copy right is from 1996 and the woman on the phone told me they were simply hard to find since they are brand new. I told her they have been around for a couple of years and she corrected me and said they have only been available locally since last Fall. I think they are headquartered in Phoenix. Sasquatch, see what you can find out about the mystery trailer. It is extremely well made. It weighs 546 lbs, I think. The one I saw has been abused already. |

Ed - I'll see what I can find out,,,,,,after the holiday. It could have been patented in '96 by the original builder, and not put into service by UHaul until last year. Seen a new one last week,,,,,looked good,,,,,,,,,,would look better in red w/flames behind your cat! This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 07-03-2002 at 08:45 AM |

I've also looked into these and got nowhere. It would make a great trailer if the pricing was right. Have a great 4th. |

Try a company out here in southern California for both items you are looking for. They are a distributor of my products for the PT Cruiser and are heavily involved with the PT Cruiser parts line of performance and body mods. Check them out at www.pt-tuning.com or call toll free at 800 643-0806. Speak with Guy Spagnoli or Maier Shadi in there sales dept. They are rated #1 in service among all PT Cruiser parts vendors. They are located just a few blocks away from LAX. Have a happy 4th of July. |

I spoke to U-Haul about this subject in early 01 about the time I bought my cat they were very pointed about the fact they didnt sell the trailer claimed they made it in house, very rude at the time I called the transportion department at the corp office got the number from a local store manager. Later that day I ordered my kit from my local chrysler dealer. Happy Prowlin ------------------ |
