In decoding my VIN I guess I have a Chrysler Prowler. Does it make any difference. The color is Midnight Blue Pearl, and I have an aluminum engine (according to the VIN) I have had the car a whole 6 days, but from info I've picked up on this web site I already have ideas for some positive changes.
Thank You
Larry

Congrats on the Mulholland Kat and welcome to the POA. The later model Plymouths and the Chryslers are the same.

Where did you get that info Todd about the chryslers being faster than the plymouths?? Anyone with a chrysler Canuck Kat, does it cut out at 130mph or keep going to 150 plus?
like the plymouths do

PK - I think he meant quicker... yes, us U.S. folks have a limiter... keeps us behind the Canucks... must be a plot there somewhere... BTW - I know where Todd gets his info... he owns both Plymouth and Chrysler kats!

Old and Slow... Welcome to the Blue Family

The Mulholland Edition is the first series as a Chrysler. All previous ones were Plymouths. Our Mulhollands are also the only factory edition with a different color top (except for the Conner Avenue Edition, but there is only 1 of those kats) everyone else has black tops but us

Your light blue pinstripe is also hand painted and signed by Dr. Ru... check out the bottom middle of the decklid, you might need a magnifying glass but is smack in the middle of the stripe.

Us blue folks have to stick together because some folks here can't see blue... they only see black and red

I totally agree with you that BLUE is the best color and that we gotta stick together.
N-E-Ways--I thought that the 1997 Prowlers had 214 HP @5850 RPM and 221 lb. ft. @ 3150 and the newer Prowlers have 253 HP. I also heard that the 97's have 335 in the back and the newer one's have 295!! For real...the Mulholland Edition is the first Chrysler Prowler and that's why it's the only one with Blue Top...Cool.

Another subtle difference is that the rear bumper says Plymouth on the Plymouths and is blank on the Chryslers.
The hood badge is also different. The Plymouth has the sailing ship and the Chrysler has something round in the middle of it, but I can't remember exactly what it is.
The 1997 models had a cast iron engine and the 99 and later have an aluminum engine.

So there its settled. Chrysler Prowlers are MUCH faster, MUCH better looking, handle MUCH better and their drivers are MUCH more handsome than the common plymouth drivers.
Thanks for all your card and letters folks!

Old and SLOW...
Welcome and happy Prowling.
I guess since you have the new Chrysler you can remove the "Old and" , just leave the "Slow".
2000 Plymouths (Especially Black ones) are a little bit faster.
Honestly, not important which is faster,we got one of the finest Cars ever made and it don't matter how fast it is, what counts is how special we make them.
Again Welcome.
Later..
Dan G.
PS.
Don't let Todd talk you into believing that Chrysler are faster than the Plymouth.

RBADKAT is right. I really don't care how fast my P-car is. I've never had so many strangers come up to me and ask,"hey dude, what you smoking", I mean, say nice things about the car. I just sit in the car and take a trip, then I drive home, careening around corners, taking short cuts through driveways. Everyone is always shouting and yelling but because my tunes are so LOUD I can't hear them. Compliments I'm sure!
Well you all have a nice day. I have an appointment with those nice people at Happy Acres about modifying my medication. 800 milligrams of Stelazine just don't do it anymore. But, wow, the colors, the colors.
