I know we had discussed having a BBQ at our house (just north of McKinney on 75) and driving up to Texoma on June 22nd. We are still on for that if everyone is still interested. What does everyone think about a cruise and then heading to 69 Drive-In which is in OK a little over an hour from our house to catch a movie that night? They play all of the new movies that are out and usually have several available. I would have to check to see what is playing. It's a neat little theatre. Tami & Ken; Whats showing at the drive-in? Do they have food there? What town in OK. is it in? Lets put it together if the weather is good that weekend. LETS ALL GO TO THE DRIVE-IN   ------------------

Hey Danny: I believe its in McAlester. Ken called the drive-in to see what they had showing next weekend, but they were unsure as of yet. This weekend they are showing Spirit and Windtalker as their double feature. I'll give them a call on Monday to find out for sure what they will be showing and to make sure they have food - I'm pretty sure they do, although it will probably be the run of the mill drive-in food. Thought it would be fun to go to an old-fashioned type drive-in - haven't been in . . . never mind not going there. LOL Tami ------------------ 2001 Eddie Bauer Expedition

Sounds great Tami. Sat. is fine and just let us know what we can do to help. It's been a long time since a drive in and JP won't be able to bring Deb so who sits with him and makes out?

Tami, Went ahead and looked this up on Yahoo maps. Starting from: Van Alstyne, TX Arriving at: Mcalester, OK Distance: 130.1 miles Hopefully, this links works, but if it is in McAlester; it's going to be about 2 hours from your house. As for me, I could probably make the movie, but I had forgotten about a car show here on Saturday. They have a people's choice category, so I truly want to enter this one. Hi JP: Thanks for checking into that. The last time we went through there I watched the clock to see how long it took us to reach the drive-in and it was an hour and 40 minutes I believe, but I was driving and I'm a little heavy footed. It's 70 most of the way there. We can save you a place along side of us after the car show if you want, just let us know and we'll take care of it. Hi Everyone: At the 69 drive-in in McAlester, the movies Saturday night are: Spirit and Bad Company. Spirit starts at 9:15 and Bad Company starts at 10:45, admission is $4 per person. There is a local Sonic that also has a rod show every Saturday near us, so thought we could cruise through there if they have started their show before we head out along with checking out some other areas around Texoma. Why doesn't everyone show up at our house between 3:00 and 3:30, we can relax for a few minutes, eat early and head out for some cruisen time. If anyone needs anything or has any suggestions, let us know. I am e-mailing everyone directions to our house. See you all on Saturday. By the time we eat, etc. we will probably leave the house around 5:30-6:00, that way we have a little bit of time to cruise around before we take off for the drive-in. Tami, Under the circumstances, I think I will meet the group in McAlester. Any idea what time you are going to try and get to the drive-in? Hi JP: Sounds great! We will be on channel 10 on the radios. How about if we meet you in the parking lot of Walmart which is before the drive-in coming from the North between 8:30 and 8:45. That way we can all go to the drive-in together. Would that work? PaulR is going to be in OKC during the day and will be driving his Lightning and plans on trying to meet us at the drive-in as well.
