I met the caterrumpus at Bandimere speedway tonight and the beginning of the Colorado National Event.

Wow..the photo's of the Caterumpus car do not do it justice. The car looks stone cold tough, what an awsome looking (and sounding) Prowler.

Finally yes John. Dean drove it over from Grand Junction and delivered it at 2:00am Wednesday morning. Didn't run at the track, it needs a few break in miles first but I will say it looks, sounds and runs fantastic. Haven't pushed it hard (no nitrous runs) yet but will before the week is out.
Bob Wyman showed up at the track and made one run, I think in the mid to low 14s. Quite a few people ran there cars and it was a fun night.

Prowler Keith,

I'll try to get some pic's of the caterumpus car, but like I say, photo's don't do it justice.

The weather here in Denver is STUNNING!! Billiant Sun, BRIGHT Blue skys, not a drop of wind and 80 degrees. Looks like a nice day to do a Prowler cruise with the gang at the Westin in Westminster before tonight's reception!

We'll try to post some pics, but I have to track down my computer expert kid to figure out how. There were a bunch of fantastic looking and sounding kats in Colorado. We hope to see a lot more soon at the next tour.

AC...OK..The Catterupus car get's the best sounding car award at Bandimere Wednesday night only...but if we are going to consider all the car exhaust systems sounds (including those in the "Sound Off" competition with packs, headers, stock, SSS, Borla etc.on the reception patio Thursday night.. my vote has to go to Ranger Bob's Yellow car (2 12" glass packs)and if you remember right, Ranger Bob's car sound was pretty much a unanimous choice among the crowd? It was deeper..it was louder...it was Amercian and manley..(not exotic)

Sorry AC...I'm not sure who won the GREAT RACE (likely to be a point of contention for the milennia). But without question, Ranger Bob's car took the sound off competition on Thursday night at the Hotel.

Chromer - First of all, Ranger Bob was LAST to enter the City of Westminster, Colo.= FACT.

Next, I have traveled with the good Ranger's yellow Ghostrider cat on many events, and yes it has the loudest exhaust noise (decibel) level compared to the others in the contest. But it ends there when compared to the overall SWEET and DEEP sounding noise level that Donny's cat makes. I've traveled behind both cats during cruises, its a close call, but I'm still going with the Rapid City Rocket.

Chromer, maybe its time for Jack and you to go to the vet and have your floppies cleaned out for better hearing. : I noticed Jack wasn't listening to you very well when he took off away from you at the car show in Golden.

If the car sounds so good, what does it have for an exhaust? I'm curious!!!

PO/01 - Al has two 18" glass packs installed

Donny has Borla muffler with stock tips/baffles out

Both are really fine sounding cats,,,,,,,a tough call on which is the better. If you want the louder sound, Al's is the one. If you want a deeper, mellow sound,,,Donny's was the choice.

AC..
I'm back ..that 105 octane fuel knocked me down for awhile...man do I have a headache! (lucky Jack knows CPR)

Al Braga..
Catterumpus is running a Borla with stock pipes and tips w/o resonators..Ranger Bob is running 2 12" Walker glass packs and the sound was excellent!.

Geeezz AC..
Not only are you deaf..now you can't see..they were 12" inch glass packs (not 18"s)AND Ranger Bob's Car did sound the BEST!

Al Braga...
There was some talk at the Colo. Event that a Flowmaster set up may soon be available for the Prowler. Before I Way heave my borla into the scrap heap and go back to my sorely missed glass packs, I'm going to see if the flowmaster rumor pans out?..

Marty - that is a great exhaust sound from Mike's cat. He must have recorded it after two bottles of fine wine on his birthday
