Arizona Gang #1, heading for Colorado and being led by Ranger Bob/Al Becker, will be leaving SantaFe, N.M. at 6am on thursday ------Arizona Gang #2, led by the AlleyCat, will be leaving near Grants, N.M. at the same time on thursday. Spotting Ranger Bob 180 mile headstart, I figure to be blowing around him near Castle Rock, Co at 2:15pm on thursday, much to their amazement True, Ranger Bob (Al) will be pulling a box full of Prowler with his powerful Dodge Ram, but I think I can beat him to the finish line (Westin Westminster). Those arriving early to the Colorado event may want to have media coverage and tv news helicopters flying above I-25 as this climatic event unfolds Maybe CNN coverage also, so Al Butchchee and Todd can be yelling, screaming, and throwing stuff at their tvs,,,,,,encouraging their favorite driver (me) to win the race!!! If I win, Mike Gatlin will produce a video tape for sale/or we may go to pay-per-view satelite, worldwide showing of this Great American Race. Check with ESPN thursday night for the results.

I should be on I-25 about that time. Will join in if
I spot you. Look for a yellow Kat towing his litter box
with flaming tail pipes. BTW: I don't slow down much
except for McDonalds.

Joe - We'll be looking for you!

McDonald's is OK, but I prefer Wendy's

If it looks like its going to be a close race between me and Ranger Bob,,,,,throw the road spikes out infront of his Dodge Ram!

In the GREAT RACE we are rooting for the racer who actually drives their car to Denver! Not the constestant who tows it to Denver behind a Dodge Ram (sorry Ranger Bob).

AC, we probably won't stoop to road spikes for Ranger Bob, but we are certainly not above "re-orienting" strategic road signs along the way to Denver.

Attention Ranger Bob, there is a small detour on I-25 outside Pueblo Colorado. Even though it is rough dirt that leads into the prairie and looks like it goes nowhere.. don't worry..you're going the right way...keep going..

XOXO

Hey Arizona, the South Texas Kat-A-Van will be leaving out of Raton, NM Thursday morning but not until about 8 or 9 AM, we're waiting for one of our group to catch up with us there. Will have 6 Kats by then. Then straight into Westminster... Perhaps we'll see y'all somewhere along the way..

Chromer - Great to hear Jack got you to listen to him! That road detour will throw Ranger Bob off track for hours,,,giving me time to catch up! Good work! Now I'm wondering if Ranger Bob can read? Maybe a sign with a Prowler cat face with arrow pointing east or west will work better

Fred - send me the name of your motel in Raton,,,,I'll call the office and cancel your wake-up calls,,,,letting your group sleep in until 11 am. I'll pull up outside your room and honk the cat horn for your wake-up call and wave goodbye, as the Az Group #2 burns out towards Westminster We never give up to south Texans!!!

AlleyCat -

Per your instructions I have :

Placed a "huge" bet with the bookies 3:1 on you. We could be rich on this one!

Ranger Bob/Al Becker's credit cards will be reported as stolen on the day in question. No gas, no food, no sleep...no problem

Ranger Bob/Al Becker's Dodge Ram/ trailer will be reported as full of illegal drugs from Columbia on the day in question. After they drag the Prowler out to check, Al's blood pressure won't be normal for at least an hour or two.

Capt. BillyBob, my cousin, who worked for the local yokels in Castle Rock, Co. police station, have been properly informed. Remember "have friends in low places!"

It's a lock - like the Maryland game!

For a small fee, can replace Fred J. Henke' NOS bottles with laughing gas - just a thought!

Your pal

on the patrol pulling him over for drug inspection,,,,,,,his Az Ranger decals on the Ram will not stop them from having probable cause!

PLACE THE BETS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we be RICH!!!

Can't wait for next NCAA season, so I don't have to hear about Maryland anymore, You the MAN

I guess it is time I place a call to a couple of my fellow agencies (i.e. Texas Rangers and the Colorado Mounted Rangers) to help a fellow Arizona Ranger in apprehending the wanted and thoroughly dangerous felon Alley Cat.

Now with the Stars and Logo's are on the Trailer who do you think is going to get stopped? HUM let me think. So who will go his bail? Not me that's for sure. Let me list the charges.
1. Transporting hazardous material with out a permit (one change of underwear).
2. Transporting a minor over state lines. Leitha can explain this one.
3. Using public highways as a litter box.
4. Just plain because we can.
5. Falsely impersonating a person of good taste
6. Operating a vehicle without a proper leash.
7. Failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. The Dodge Ram with the lights in the window.

Enjoy the slammer.

Cliff - Yes, I know you law enforcement guys stick together , but you are betting with the loser! I have now changed my travel route to throw Ranger Bob off track, and save 175 miles of driving. I'll be on top of the hill at Castle Rock waiting for Az Group #1 (the turtles) and the Fred led group of Southern Texas owners to come by. I'll then turn up the wick and fly by them,,,,,videoing the look on their faces This could be the front footage of the 2002 Prowlin' the Colorado Rockies video tape to be sold at a later date.

Place your bets NOW - AC,,,Always Competitive

Thanks Al for giving up before we start!

I'll answer the important ones:

#2 - Lethia will be 17 on June 15th, isn't that old enough for consent???

#3 - DC's fault for not putting ashtrays in Prowlers!

#5 - Maybe I'll agree with this one

#7 - That is right, failure to yield,,,,,,as you WILL be behind me with those lights going! lol, hehe

The loser has to sit next to Ed during the food stops!

Watson - you are now OFF my X-mas card list and your next birthday announcement wish may be down the crapper as well!

THE GREAT RACE WAS "NO CONTEST",,,,,,just like the Lewis-Tyson fight, as I predicted. The Az Group #2 was the first to arrive in Westminster, Adams County, Colorado. Jan Bruggeman was charging hard for the Az Group #1, but I cut in front of him and nearly forced him off of the I-25 freeway. As for Ranger Bob, Al Becker, he was a full 24 minutes in arrears crossing the line,,,,,,,BEHIND the ALLEY CAT............. A full 12 hour headstart and 750 mile lead, was NOT enough opposition for the Alley Cat I first passed Al at mile post marker # 1 entering southern Colorado,,,,,,,geezzzz, I thought he broke down. Feeling sorry for the loser, we cruised with Az Group #1 until after the gas stop in Pueblo, then it was a bullet shot to Westminster city limits.

I need much stiffer competition in these type of events, and next time will select a more challenging competitor

OK, the truth here is that Ranger Bob paid six bouncer type guys to tackle me and put the cuffs on. I could have whipped four of them, but he knew that and hired six bulls to do the dirty work. Having learned magic from Copperfield, I able to get out of the cuffs in three minutes time.

Next time I'm drinking a six-pack of Whoop-As$ drinks,,,,,,,pity the fools !!!!!!
