Norton fixed the corrupt file, but I did not open it anyway, (the attachment). I use Norton,the same as you JD, and I didn't get anything from him that was infected. I asked him if he sent you anything and he said no. Sometimes I forward stuff from him, but it has to go thru an incoming and outgoing scan from me. I update my Antivirus twice a week at least. Maybe someone else has him in their address book and got a worm? ------------------ Yellow is DCOOLEST

Most of them have the ability for you to schedule and automatically get updates of your virus patterns. This is the critical part. If you don't update the patterns, the software is of no use. I use Norton on all my networked computers at home and have the scheduler update my patterns once a week. The scheduler also runs a full virus scan on the systems once a week.
