I just ordered a Candy Red from Georgia and paid about 2,000 over MSRP. In your opinion, was this a fair price? The reason I ask is that as I was reading some of the posts I get the feeling that these prices will come down. I did not want to wait and take the chance of not getting what I want. Now if only the auto transport company would show up at my door early............------------------ 2002 Candy Red (Soon) 1967 Shelby GT 500 #570

Congratulations on your new purchase I don't know what the average price around the nation is but I know at my local dealer, they want 65K for a new candy red. So I think your price was good ------------------ Cliff Watson

Thanks Cliff, that's good to hear. They were charging quite a bit over MSRP in Northern California also. Still waiting for the transport.............------------------ 2002 Candy Red (Soon) 1967 Shelby GT 500 #570

blackcat:No, I got it from Buford, but he got it from another dealer. (I had a contact that new both dealers so that is why it was done this way.) Paul ------------------ 2002 Candy Red (Soon) 1967 Shelby GT 500 #570

The only reason I ask was I saw the one at the Conyers dealer and it had some marks/scratches on it....and the dealer in Conyers was asking sticker price.------------------ This message has been edited by blackcat on 04-03-2002 at 10:38 PM

blackcat:The mere thought of scratches sent me searching for the original dealer......it came from a dealer in Dallas Georgia, not Conyers (WHEW) Now I can go back outside and wait...... Paul
