I just received my insurance renewal for my Z and they have doubled my rate! Does anyone have a good insurance company that will insure several cars (8 with 3 drivers)? The rate is not bad, $680 for 6 months but it was $390 the last 6 months! No tickets, accidents or claims. I want to check out my options before I talk to my agent. Thanks, ------------------ |

Steve I've been with State Farm for years. Now I am 34, but I pay $534 every 6 months for the Kat and $542 for my Vette. I think they are very good rates for where I live... Who are you with now? ------------------ |

I pay $ 266 per 6 months with State Farm but it depends on where you live, mostly. The $ 10,000 deductible might help keep the premiums down, too. ------------------ |

Frank, I have all my insurance with Texas Farm Bureau, the Z06 is on a policy all by itself. I had to sign a disclaimer stating that my daughter would not drive the car, she is covered on all the other vehicles. I found a letter in the mass of paper work that came with the new policy stating that "after careful and detailed review of my policy, they are changing the company in which your policy is issued". They are changing my carrier to The Farm Bureau County Mutual Insurance Company of Texas. Sound like a load to me. I will be on the phone this AM. I thought that once you hit 40 (now 41)insurance got a lot easier. Steve ------------------ |

I've been trying to get in with State Farm but they put a hold on any New policies. IF you already have one on any other car you can get one with them but NO new ones right now. Good Luck Voodoo |

I have to post the name of a company that my friend in Vegas uses.I forget the name. He has his cars, house and umbrella with the same company. Rates are cheap and if you dont have a claim, they give you back 25%of the policy amount back every year after 3 years of no claims. Cars only I think. Anyone ever heard of this? I use State Farm and pay around 1200 a year for my cat and around the same for my Jeep. ------------------ |

Butchcee, That name would be great for me too. I pay almost 2000 a year for my Kat and it is taged in FL. I just can't get in with State Farm right now. They keep telling me when they start writing new policies that I am on the top of their list but it's been going like that for about 5 months now. Voodoo |

State Farm also issues rebate checks after several years of accident free driving. It is nowhere near 25 % however. ------------------ |

I currently use Gieco, I know some people have said to that they didn't like them for one reason or another, but they have been good to me. I currently insure my 2000 Kat, and a 2001 ford super crew 4X4. I don't exactly how it breaks down, but I pay just a little over 1,500.$ per yr for both. They also made the claims I filed easy and fast. ------------------ Toby |

Toby - be sure to keep any futuer claims confined to the truck. You need all the time you can get Kattin' Around Dallas. Like others, we use State Farm and pay $430.00 every six months for the Prowler with multi car policy and homeowners policy discount. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

I use Progressive. Less than $100 a month for my Kat and '78 Camaro. I'm 31. Clean record. ------------------ |
