For years I had never heard of anyone who had ever been surveyed by NIELSEN and therefore I figured it was all a hoax. Lo and Behold, I am the CHOSEN ONE. I just finished up a week of recording what I watch. What does everyone watch? I watch Frasier usually, I really like ED, SCRUBS, WESTWING, NYPD BLUE and PHILLY. I watch Letterman pretty often. I watch the local basketball teams pretty regularly and both UC and Xavier are doing GREAT. That is about it. What do you guys watch?

Well, since there were re-runs and the State of the Union Address I didn't watch much this week. I tape the shows I want to watch and save about 1/3 of the time when I skip over the commercials. In the summer I never watch any TV except for an occasional baseball game. I watched UC win their 20th straight game. There are a couple of teams about 100 miles south that used to be good, U. of KY and U. of Louisville but they are patsies this year. Right Marty? UC is rated fourth and XU has won about 15 in a row since losing to UC in the Crosstown Shootout. It could be a lot of fun around here in about a month or 6 weeks. There is another team about 100 miles west that Bobby Knight used to coach but he is showing Texas Tech fans what basketball is all about now. About 120 miles north is Ohio State, but they will never get over losing two straight NCAA finals to UC in the 60's. Ah, life is good in the college basketball scene.

OK Ed - This will probably offend In Phil - but no offense is intended unless he resembles these remarks but I will not respond like a lot of University of Kentucky fans I know or hear on talk radio and belittle another program and call all other team' fans morons.

I think its great that people pull for and believe in their teams - even in off years. UK is still ranked high in the polls, so I would be really carefull about calling them a patsy even if their fans want to dump a coach that has won a National Championship and kept the program in the top 10 for his entire tenure there. Of course here at Louisville we have their former coach who got their program back to that level. We hope he can work his magic again here.

Call us (Louisville) a patsy this year - we'll take our lumps, but our team is fun to watch. I have NEVER seen a team hustle and never give up as much as this team. Mr. Huggy and crew better whoop up on us now - we stole your prime recruiting coach so watch out in a couple of years.

At least Cincy has great colors. LOL

I don't have time (or interest) to watch much TV. That's still true after I retired. For me, here are too many fun things to do in life. Sitting on the couch and watching TV rates a very low priority.

I watch the evening news, and the St Louis RAMS games since they are winners (I generally don't care for sports.)

My Nielsen Rating is that I average 2 hours per day watching TV in the winter, and 1 hour per day in spring, summer, & fall.

I'm saving TV watching for when I get old, feeble, and incapacitated

Marty, you are getting mellow. Those jabs were in jest and I know KY has either the # 1 or #2 ALL TIME wins. Duke is either just ahead or just behind them. Louisville whipped up on UC many times in the past. UC can't seem to get it done in the tournament, in truth. Of course when Kenyon Martin got hurt a couple of years ago, I think they had a legitiamte shot.
