I took my car (not the Prowler) to Sears to have a tire patched. Well, after I picked up the car, I checked the tire pressure and noticed a 5" scratch along the lip of the rim. I clean my wheels about twice a week and check the air pressure at least once a month and I am certain that scratch was not on the rim. I talked to the manager about the scratch and he told me that their tire machine simply could not have done that and that it looks like it was scraped along something but he doesn't know if I did it or if his guys did it, so he won't do anything for me. Was just wondering if anyone has any advice on what I should do? I'm guessing that I'll be stuck with a scratched rim.

Thanks,
Daryl

One thing to remember about where you had it done. It's Sears. Ask to talk to the managers boss. For a matter of fact, if he won't help you, DEMAND to talk to his boss. Sears will take care of you. Or they should. The survive by their rep. If the store manager doesn't take care of you as for the district manager. Tell them you want their name the guy who worked on you cars name and you intend to take this ALL THE WAY. I would bet that they will do something. If they couldn't say FOR SURE that their guy didn't do the scratch then they have no ground to stand on. And from what you say they have already said that they couldn't. Fight it.
