I need some help if possible here. I have now amassed quite a collection of die cast and other Prowler memrobelia. I have them everywhere and would like to make a display case or two for them. I have no problem with doing the carpentry part, just looking for some idea's of what some of you others have built or had built. Any pictures showing yours would be greatly appreciated. I have a fair bit of room to work with thats what is making coming up with a design a little hard.Thks for any help PK

Prowler-Keith,The glass encased display cases I have seen in the past have been 4-6 ft. high, with a turning knob on top for rotation. The inner sides have staggered acryllic platform settings for different scale (1:24 vs 1:18 vs 1:32, etc.). I've seen both three and four sided display cases like these. I had one(three sided) case a while ago, it held about 20 1:18 scale cars, but no pictures, sold it! I can supply a drawing from memory, if you need it. ------------------

PK.....if we ever get our basement finished........In the meantime, I've had to resort to plain old bookcases for my stuff in my home office! Unfortunately, I have extras of things and don't have enough room, so there is much not out on shelves! This message has been edited by CJ on 01-03-2002 at 09:03 PM

HI, I HAVE A COLLECTION OF 100 PLUS SMALL DIECAST PROWLERS THAT I HAVE POSTED TO SELL. BEFORE I MADE THE DECISION TO SELL, MY IDEAL FOR DISPLAY IS VERY FAR OUT!!!!! SHELVES AND DISPLAY CASES ARE BORING. I ENVISION A DEALERS SHOWROOM, GREAT IF YOU HAVE DUPLICATES. YOU KNOW,MINIATURE DOLL HOUSES DISPLAY MINIATURE FURNITURE, THAT IS INTERESTING TO THE EYE. THE LARGER VEHICLES AND ARTICLES CAN BE SET TO THE REAR, SMALLER IN FRONT. IF YOU HAVE THE PROWLER ON A RAILROAD FLATBED, I DO) SET IT HIGH COMING INTO THE DISPLAY. THERE ARE LITTLE PEOPLE SCALED FOR THE SIZE OF YOUR COLLECTION. THE ONES TO REMAIN ON CARDS CAN BE DISPLAYED ON THE WALLS. SOUND CRAZY? HELLO, I AM A NATIVE OF LAS VEGAS NV, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM A CRAZY TOWN????? YOU HAVE TO BE A LITTLE OFF JUST TO SURVIVE IN THIS 24 HOUR ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. SO THERE IT IS CANDY B

Well, Candy B.......You may consider shelves and bookcases boring, but when that is all you have room for then you make do with that. I have over 200 diecasts and they are displayed in my home office where I can enjoy them, since they are just for my enjoyment. You know what they say... to each his own! So there it is..........

Candy B no I don't have the train one we don't have all the die casts up here in Canuck land that you guys have down there. I have to agree with CJ when all you got are book cases and shelves and their for your entertainment thats all that matters. I spent most of the day in furniture store getting idea's today so will build something soon thks for the input..PK
