Danny, I'm always pleased to see where model designers get their inspiration. A lot of them start with our cars, and some pretty darn good mod ideas! ------------------ |

Hi Keith, I found it locally at Meijer Dept. store. It is called "Swoop Coupe" from Kalifornia Kicks by Thom Taylor and made by Classic Metal works. No mention of Prowler anywhere on it but there is no mistaking what it is! Our cars with some Carlini, TGF and other mods all around. Bob and CJ make it sound like this car was on display at SEMA. ------------------ This message has been edited by MIKE GATLIN on 11-09-2001 at 08:18 AM |

This line of Die Cast is pretty cool. The only problem I have with them is they are supposed to be 1-24 scale. I have a huge diecast collection and these are not true 1-24 scale. These wheels would look awesome on a Prowler. ------------------ |

I have seen this line before but not this car! All it lacks is a name badge, otherwise it is a highly modified and detailed Prowler and comes in a nice display case. Rich you are right on scale, maybe 1:20..still looks darn good. ------------------ |

That is one of the best looking die cast I have ever seen. I will have to check out the meijer's stores here. I bought a Maisto 1:18 Dodge concept vehicle last night at Sam's Club for $ 9 or $ 10. It does not say what it is called. It kind of looks like a Miata from the rear. It is bronze but changes slightly like chome illusion or is that allusion? Anyone know what it is? ------------------ |

Ed that is the Dodge Copperhead concept. the paint on that car is awesome. I got to both sit in the car and also take pictures of my Kat parked right next to it. Guy in charge told me the value is $3 million. It also has a V6. I picked up a White 1/18 Viper GTSR at Costco last night for $10. ------------------ |

I stopped at Wal-Mart and didn't find the car Mike posted but they did have that radically modified Hot Wheels car that someone posted a month or so ago. They also had about 5 Silver PT's towing Silver Prowlers if anyone wants one. Rich, the paint on the model is even pretty cool looking. ------------------ |

Models are always dreams, but what is amazing is how close the reality we own is to the dream. ------------------ |

Mike G, I hit all the Meijers stores in the immediate area and did not find that particular model. About half of the Meijers had some of the Kalifornia brand and half did not. They had 6 to 8 diff. models but I didn't see any like that one. I bought 6 yellow 99 Prowlers Maisto 1:24 for $6 each, if anyone wants one. If anyone ever sees a red one, I would appreciate you picking it up for me. I have never seen a red one in any store. ------------------ |

Ed, I'll try to get over and look today! $6 for the yellow is excellent. I picked one up recently for a lot more than that. ------------------ |

Ed, looked but did not find the radical car pictured or red either! I was reminded why I don't go to Meijers often. Small cart full still standing in the center aisle I am sure..also sure that the checkout line still hasn't moved either. Did find a nicely detailed 1:43 Road Champs "Mopar Muscle" diecast in yellow. ------------------ |

Mike G, thanks for trying. I appreciate your effort and interest. Ironically, all of the Meijer's here are topnotch. Of course all of them are only a few years old and the service is usally very good. They are always very clean stores. I can't find any other chain that even knows what Kalifornia Kicks is/are. ------------------ |
