I am a owner of the Chrysler 300M. From what I could find thus far, the Prowler and the 300M have the same engine. The Prowler has SIGNIFICANTLY better performance from 0-60 MPH, 5.7 to 7.7. What I could uncover thus far in the major differences in the cars is curb weight, exhaust (dual vs. single), and shift points. Both cars have the same rated horsepower and torque, but I have to believe this is false because the Prowler has a dual setup, which would lend itself to a hp increase.

My ultimate goal is to get better performance out of my 300M, and I thought that a Prowler owner could give some insight on modifications that might do just that. In addition, could someone really tell me what the true differences in the cars that yields such a difference in performance numbers?

I am in the process of modifying the exhaust system with a Magnaflow muffler. (Hopefully, this will increase hp a little) I have replaced the stock air-filter with a K&N filter. The next step will probably be indexing the spark plugs. I am concerned that if I do anything to the intake that the computer chip will not compensate for that particular performance change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You might want to contact SoCal Speed Shop in Ca. Don't know there #. Maybe someone will post it here... They were doing some mods & test work on the 3.5L engine for the 300. Maybe even using the Prowler computer...

Check with Dean at Prowler Pro he was doing some mods on a 300M. I believe his gears work in your transaxle and those would be a big jump in performance. He is listed on the front page under vendors.

Call Tony Thacker at the SoCal Speed Shop in Pomona, Ca.
Be sure to also ask him about their lowering packaged designed for the 300M.
SoCal's number is 909-469-6171
