Heh all my POA friend's I just listened to our local new's
One of our main Firefighter groups went out into the streets of Vancouver BC, and in one day they collected over 530k just from donations at intersections around the town. They used one of their boots to collect the money
in. They had so many coins that they collected from kid's piggy banks to students giving what they could that they broke an axle in the van they used to transport it back to be counted. This money will go directly to help out the people who lost their jobs and to other high needs. This makes me very proud to be a Canadian where you can go out for part of a day and raise this much money at intersections around a town. Our country may be small in population compared to the USA but we care and we feel your pain and will help out in any way to our American friends and neighbours..

Hi Keith,
I am a firefighter in Calgary,(Alberta, Canada) and I did the boot drive along with a bunch of other Firefighters here about three weeks ago. We did not raise that much money but we also have put on about three or four other functions using our "HOT STUFF" calendar firefighters, and volunteers. It feels real good to help out our Brothers and Sisters, as I am SURE they would do the same for us!!! Canadians do care!!!

No surprise, Keith, we're all brothers and sisters. Anything happens to any of us, the rest of us will be there.

That is great Keith. While there is an official border
in place, Canadians are just close brothers. We will
all get thru this a lot better than it may seem at times.
After we displace a few bad apples (camel jockies), things
will start improving. We are just glad to have Canadians
giving us their support.
