Hi Everyone -

I just wanted to drop in here really quickly to let you know about our event, The Open Track Challenge. Does 7 of the best tracks on the West Coast in 7 days sound like fun? How about full day time trials at each site using the Formula One qualifying format? There are classes for trailered cars and cars that drive the entire competitive route. And, at the end of the week, a big party and awards banquet at one of the casino-hotels on Vegas's Strip. If you're interested, please visit www.opentrackchallenge.com for more information or www.nsxfiles.com where Doug Hayashi (an OTC Organizer) has laid down the gauntlet to other automotive groups.

I apologize to the moderators if there was a better way to announce this. Hope to see y'all out there!

JD, go for it. You have a new engine, you will probably make it most of the way. You may get a speeding ticket or two, but what the heck, you will have great stories to tell. Talk Elvis into going with you.

Just might do that Ed. The price is a little steep. How about, for the good name of the POA, we pass John Shuts' hat around to help with my expenses,,,,, . Mechanic, masseuse, bail money, masseuse, engine deposit, tow company, hotel, masseuse, . You know, the important things I need to post really good times in the name of the POA??

You guys crack me up. This community definitely agrees with our love of the "massage". I'd probably throw fuel on the fire if I reminded you guys of the key cottage industry that thrives in rural Nevada where this event will spend some time.

In all seriousness, I hope you folks can join us. Pardon me if I don't get around here in time to answer or address anything in an expedient manner. If something is urgent in nature, please email me or address the issue on the OTC message board at www.opentrackchallenge.com .

Hmmm, last time I was there I saw a sign that said "Closed for repairs...beat it!"

If this gets me in trouble....SORRY!!

Wow, you boys is talking my kind of language! Sounds to me like a roundup I once attended. I think I should fire up the Ol 'cat, load up some honey's and head on out to meet you boys.

At 115, I gotta be careful as too much of anything causes me serious health problems. This function sounds like an opportunity to exercise my car and some of my parts. I'm on my way.

Gotta go as I have to call Bush and tell him I am unavailable to fight this new war as I have a gig that sounds better.

Sorry CJ...I couldn't resist! I worked for my brother-in-law, wiring houses in Chester, Calif. during the summers...and he gave me a hat with that on it. Only took me who-knows-how-long to figure out what it meant!! LOL

Really, truly, it sounds like a great event, and although it's too far for us we'd love to be there. And for sure someone will get their socks blown off, so to speak
