It was good for him. He was running dry and needed a boost. Even though I'm a Gordon fan, Jeffie seemed a little "faggy" during the post race interview and I think he should have given Labonte the second back to the wire. I know you were throwing him "bones" Larry

Larry, while your at the Depot, go to the self help section and see if you can pick up some books on driving and send them to Junior. Seems he learned a lot from Daddy. I can see Dale looking down, (or up) and saying "thats my boy"

Chris - I'm really starting to dislike you Jeffy Gordon fan? You need to come to Phx NASCAR race, stay with your parents, and notice at the track how 125,000 real race fans, boo and hate his fag as$. Wake up!

Hope I never need tires or wheels from you

Chris, It's about time someone lent some support here
I though I was the only one on the board that had the stones to own up to the fact I was a fan of his.
Tony better get used to riding his car around with all those ladders and crap hanging out the back for when he gets canned and has to look for a handyman job. I got some windows that need caulking Send him by if you see him Larry. LOL

Al - don't think NASCAR would boot out one of their top drivers! And HOME DEPOT is big bucks in advertising.

Chris - central UPS distribution center is 3miles from my place. I'll be good to you, but not JiffyLube Gordon!

I am not a JG fan. He is a good driver I will give you that. But I wonder how much of his success is due to the big bucks supporting him.

Tiger, thats the second time you've forgiven me
Rich, he was always a winner, even as a kid. I dont think he has any more more $ behind him then the rest of the big guys. I just think he's a good driver that can hold back until it's needed.

Al - well, now youre always forgiven for anything
Before, people said Gordons success was all b/c of Ray Evernham ( former crew chief )...now money?? I think it's 80% talent 15% team 5% money.

Gordon started out in Indiana and drove at the local dirt track and kicked butt in the minor leagues. I think he can drive, although I am not a huge fan of his. We went to the dirt track Sat and Sunday and decided we like it a lot better than KY Speedway. They had a 100 lap race on the 1/4 mile track that was outstanding. We were covered in dust by the end of the night (1:30 AM). It cost $10 to get in Sat and $ 15 Sunday as opposed to $ 70 for one race at KY Speedway, and that is Bush, Craftsman Truck or IRL and not NASCAR. At the dirt track you are right on top of the track and feel like you are more involved.

Watched the race twice, Ward did a killer job and I must say JG is kicking but on Luck and talent. A team that works the best together will be the ones to win the Championship at the end of the year.

*About Luck* - A friend once told me " sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug " and Jeff has had his share of both. In 98' he captured his THIRD Championship w/ 13 wins that season But then, in 2000.....he had a couple too many DNF's ( we won't say how many )....and didn't do so well that year. I think the team finally got their stuff straightened out..and it shows!
AC- Yeah, Tony would be the one to try*, with that temper of his. But Gordon put him in his place
