I remember all but the 10 cent White Castles. They were unheard of in Nebraska, because RUNZA'S are the KING there, and I didn't eat or hear of a White Castle until 1975 in Arizona - came in frozen, not that good unless fresh! ------------------ |

Rich - Have my parents' 76 records (my day was the age of the 8 track tapes) and my reel to reel player/tapes are packed somewhere in storage. My basic meal at MacDonalds was 2-hamburgers, fries, small Coke - $.53. I guess our kids will tell their's that they remember when Dad bought his dream car for 40 Grand and they will laugh because their new Living Room furniture cost twice that much on sale!! Happy Prowling Marty ------------------ |

Marty and Rich, I know things move slower down south, but they were 78 records, not 76. I know that is nitpicking but you guys should be old enough to remember that. It was Union 76 if we are doing the north/south thing. We are about 200 ft. north of the Mason-Dixon line here in Cincy. |

No wonder I never liked that music, the tempo was way off. But why do you think the singing on all my 47's were off tone? Marty ------------------ This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 08-29-2001 at 12:47 PM |
