I located a 95 RT/10 with 17k miles. The seller wants $32k for the car and does not want to budge. The car has been previously stolen and wrecked, then repaired and given a clean title, and the seller is the third owner. A friend suggested that the car was worth $25k and I tend to agree. Does anyone think that the car actually is worth $32k?

You'll never get it for $25K! You are WAY better off going through the classifieds at Viper Club of America and finding something around $38K with a better history. Having said that....I do not know the car you are looking at....so it is hard to tell. The true value of a car (and I mean that "true" in the cosmic sense ) is up to you. $32K is a OK price for a 95 GEN I. But with the title issues...it is a tough decision. He says he's firm? How firm? CASH money TALKS....everything else WALKS! You think it is worth $25K...he thinks $32K...Show him $29K CASH and if he walks...there are other fish in the sea!

NOTE: When I was searching for my Viper, it was hard, but that is the phylosophy I stuck to. Go for what you want at what you can afford (or think it is worth)...if it doesn't happen....move on. I could NOT get a dealer to work with me over the internet while I was in Italy...so I moved on and found my jewel! Couldn't see chasing HIM to give him $70K!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Tony and Prowler24,
Thank you for your help. I offered the guy $25k cash and he gave me some bull that he's been offered up to $31500 and that for just $32k I can have it. I told him no thank you, I'd rather buy the other UNwrecked/stolen viper I found for $38k.

Cool, there are others out there....and each person has the right to ask what they want...just as you have the right to offer in the same manner. There ARE others out there...but this is my personal feeling.

I don't think you will get into one for UNDER $30K
I think that soon, with the MY02 numbers reportedly low...and
the new MY03 ready to hit production....

Prices may creep up a little soon.

Granted, I am just guessing....but figure that the GTS as we know it will be GONE...not to be produced again until ????? And even then it won't be the same GTS. Also, the whole Viper body style will be GONE...never to be produced again.

Does this make the current ones more valuable? I dunno! To me....yes! Within a year I will get a second Viper, likely a early RT/10 seeing as how they are dipping into the 30's!! I will NEVER own one of the newer body styles. Just me, no big deal!!

Good Luck!!!
