After watching the practice times and then watching qualifying.....it appears that the Dodge boys have mastered the art of sandbagging. Maybe Bill can actually win this thing. Anybody but Gordon!

News Flash.....Jerry Naudeau disqualified for illegal suspension parts. Now, its an all Dodge front Row! They cheated and still couldn't beat the Mopars!

Dodge majorly sandbagged that is what winter time trails are all about, they didn't what the Ford or GM guys screaming foul until the qualifing was over.

8/10's of a mile an faster, that is huge. I hope Bill wins the Championship if the Germans keep it well funded. That is a big if.

With Elliot almost a full second ahead of Compton, it is likely that his qualifying engine was just a little more "hairy" then the rest. All the other cars in the top 5 are within 2 tenths-easially made up with good driving and some luck.` Elliot has had other front end starts ,but usually finishes back. No stamina! It will be interesting to see how close the cars will run with engines that wont spill their guts after 20 laps. Bill has history, but has aged like Earnhardt, and will soon fade away. Unlike spirits, drivers do not improve with age-they only learn new tricks! OMO
Oh yeah-hey Dave-Go Jeff~ hahahahaahahahahah-you can rag me if he loses!

Al: I'm gonna "rag" you even if "cry baby" wins. I'm not gonna cut you any slack just because he is a good driver. I agree on the mopars though. The engines may not have the endurance and Elliott will be lost if stays up front....unfamiliar territory. The Dodge program will take time to develop. Anybody but Gordon!

If I remember correctly, Bill has won pole at Daytona 4 times now. They stated yesterday he has won the Daytona from the POLE 2 of the previous starts from the pole.

GO BILL

Dave, I respect you for your non-wavering opinion, and like yourself, I wont change mine unless Gordon really falls off
the band wagon. It was a total regroup with Evernham jumping ship and hopefully their team can get it together this year.
Feel free to pack the salt(figuratively )

Al: I can't believe you are admitting you are a "fair weather" fan. You will support Gordon only until his performance falls off? I have supported the Pettys through the good times and the bad. Good performance and poor performance. I guess you just want to be on the winning side? Well, okay....your choice.

Dave after re~reading my post I see where you get that idea. Let me say this~I know you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you thought was not what I meant. I'll stay by Gordon till he adopts the old Dale senior driving habits or until he cant represent himself as a quality piece. Sure, who wants to be associated with a loser? What I like about the guy is his driving ability and ability to convey chassis settup to his crew and his all around sense of fairness. When asked what happened today, He admitted he F'd up. He took the chance to finish higher as 5 wasn't enticing and got hung out to dry. If I was going to jump ship, it would have been last year.
Besides, he won today----One-one=11th

Al: I guess we will agree to disagree. Anybody that made today's race was a winner, in my opinion. The thing I didn't like was the whining by the Ford contingent. I thought it was about as good as restrictor plate racing gets.

personally ..i think yellow rules for the cats...and as far as racing goes...nascar sucks...going around in circles is something your daddy said was dumb...straight line...as fast as you can go...now thats racing....besides i only go over the start line once and over the finish line once too...not 200 times or more...wake up people...its like thruway driving....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
