CJ, snow....,ice.....,blizzards....,cat in a bag... 365 (almost) prowlin days a year... beach....girls.... Alley Cat, Co-generation plant I do work for just got notified yesterday. Edison is not paying for almost $4.5 million in power they have bought since November. Wonder what happens if I tell Edison I'm not going to pay my bill? Glad the government was willing to deregulate the industry. I am sure I will save money. It worked for the phone company, etc., etc... |

Jim - I hear you! I wish the government would stay out of things, as it surely will cost us more money for everything. Kind of tired of it all, but better than the alternative - moving to Michigan! Just kidding CJ..... Cat-in-a-bag, is that a taco place at the mall? hehe Or maybe Chinese take out? |

It was on the news that San Diego was blacked out and was heading this way. I am still waiting, got the heat up to 85 just in case, sweating to the oldies. Lived back east, been there, done that. I don't think CJ likes to look at girls Jim, maybe guys. ------------------ |

Not enough energy to go around so we conserve while OUR government gives approval to build on every square inch of land. ?????????????????????????????????????????

Actually... Prowler's have got to be THE car to pick up guys in... they all run over to look at them, but not to many girls notice. I can just imagine all the boys chasing CJ or Carol or some of the other girls around trying to check out the cars! No black out here yet... Got some of the fire places going though! ------------------ |

So much for electric cars in California. Gives a whole new meaning to being "out of juice." I wonder if that rumor is true that this upcoming summer is supposed to be the hotest on record. Global warming and all that sort of thing. Maybe I better get a third central air conditioning unit. But the nights will be chilly. I better make sure the electric pool heater is ok. Here is one for my California friends living in the country. For those with septic systems with a toilet served by an electric water pump....deregulation will cause problems in ways you never thought of. ------------------ This message has been edited by NightProwler on 01-18-2001 at 02:01 PM |

Blackouts are scary. Even scarier is driving a car in a complete whiteout with zero visibility. I did this once. Won't ever do it again. ------------------ |

California, ah, California. What a place. I'm there at least 3 times per year and it never ceases to amaze me how wonderful and yet, how awful a place can be when EVERYBODY wants to live there. Actually, I'm' somewhat sympathetic but you folks better wake up and smell the coffee on lots of issues that the other 49 states deal with regularly, like weather, for one. We, in the Midwest, burn coal and generate steam from nuclear power. Gotta keep the "greens" from dictating too much of your lives. Sometimes to dig a hole, you gotta get dirty. Looks like it's time for the people to dig a hole, if you catch my drift. ------------------ |

Paul - I think Gary dug holes for the palm trees in his backyard, but he didn't get dirty. Dug one shovel full out per day! |

Paul, L.A. s***s San Diego is not far behind. I use to live in a tourist town for 26 years, the last 7 or 8 years have been crazy. Now I moved, 17 miles inland and love the small community, country living and you can hear a fly fart a 1000 yards away. I only thing I miss in the Midwest is the snow. I can view 4 diffrent areas with snow capped mountains here in SoCal. I am here to stay. Next time you are out this way give me a call. 760 723 5567 |

if the damn liberals will leave us alone...we can harvest enough oil from off shore drilling to keep us going...but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo///we have to depend on importing all this oil...instead of opening plants to refine it....hopefully bush will get on the ball and get things going again...i hate relying on others for our stuff.... |
