I don't make New Year resolutions........ I try not to set my self up for failure...Kind of the same as "don't make promises I can't keep". I just continue to try to improve on the things that are important to me.

No, Todd......I don't consider it the same.I feel that making New Year's resolutions puts a lot of pressure on myself and makes me feel very guilty if I am not absolutely sticking to them. I don't find that very constructive or helpful to my well being. It just stresses me out more! Just being aware of what I need to do and trying to stick to it as best I can is far easier on me. And if I "fall off the wagon" now and then, I don't feel guilty about it, I just chalk it off to a bad day and try again the next day.

I agree with CJ,do not make promise to yourself that you will not keep. Try and improve yourself in someway all year long instead of once a year saying I'm going to lose weight or whatever .... Yes, I know I need to lose weight but don't need to wait until the 1st of the year to decide that or how much ..... Hope everyones New Year is the best year ------------------ Larry Mayes
