We went snowmobiling at Lake Tahoe about 4 years ago. We had a great time. I turned it over but didn't do any damage. I ran over my own leg, I think. I could barely walk the next day due to squatting and leaning to steer. It is similar to wave runners, nothing like a motorcycle. It doesn't turn very quickly. I highly recommend it, just don't hit any moguls with just one ski.

Ed - of course they aren't telling you - they are going to Lake Tahoe without you - they can't afford to pay for a snowmobile that you can total out!Al - I could invite you out, but the planes will be grounded in NY due to ice and snow. Don't they put up the planes for the winter also? Have a good holiday Al.

Bob and I spend Christmas Eve (dinner, etc.) at our son's house with him, our daughter and the grandkids. They come to our house on Christmas Day after they do the Santa thing with the kids. Our son in the Air Force will be home on the 14th - 28th to spend Christmas with us. He was not able to be there last year. We get together between Christmas and New Years with my sister and her family. Make calls to the other sisters and families. New Year's we play by ear and see what comes along. Usually we prefer to stay at home.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! This message has been edited by CJ on 12-07-2000 at 07:11 AM

Our traditions are centered around family get togethers, cooking, bonfires & trying to do too much in too little time...This year, all of our family will be here in Louisiana from Christmas to New Years. Our daughter & son-in-law & two granddaughters from NY will be here. Two daughters in Cal. (one from Burbank & one from Sacramento, daughter & son-in-law from Baton Rouge, & our son here. This is the time of year I take over the cooking. I'll be cooking a seafood Gumbo from my kitchen in my garage to bring to my sister's house for Christmas Eve. We spend Christmas Eve at my sisters along the Miss. river to watch the bonfires. Old tradition along the four mile stretch of levees next to river. There will be 150 to 200 bonfires (now limited to 20' height built of wood in Teepee shape). Two versions on this tradition. 1) Lighting the bonfires on Christmas eve lights the way for Papa Noel to deliver gifts to kids. 2) lights the way for midnight mass. We'll have midnight mass at her house & we exchange family gifts. On Christmas day we'll all be here in Mandeville. My cooking will include dressing, Deep Fried turkey, Root Beer glazed ham. Everything else I leave to Karen. And, of course, opening all the gifts. We'll spend a lot of time enjoying our family and being grateful.

Hanging with My Mother and going to Chef Bob's house for dinner. We dare not try the turkey surprise from the Grogery store again. I buy new blankets to hand out to the homeless who live in the Downtown area. It's the least I can do.

Spending Christmas Eve late evening and in the A.M. hours of Christmas Day by myself with my socket set, screw driver a multitude of batteries and lots of instructions telling me to fit slot A into piece M. I'm looking foward to putting together this few hundred piece $900 "Tommy the Train" set. Anybody have some hints on wrapping an NHL full size goal? ------------------ Have a good time and be a good time.

Great idea CJ!! Next question, how is my wife gonna get me back in the house because there is no way the net is going in the back yard without me pulling out the hockey stick and re-living old college hockey memories!!!!! ------------------ Have a good time and be a good time.

NightProwler - Thats easy. Just have the wife in backyard, reminding you that your NOT 20 years old anymore, NOT in hockey shape, and that kids 12 years old can skate around you and pull a hat trick in 90 seconds. That should do it - off to bed for you!You and your family have a great holiday! ------------------ Larry Salzman AZ - POA This message has been edited by PhxSuncat on 12-07-2000 at 07:36 PM

NightProwler if you are married why are you doing all the work? Have your wife assemble the train and wrap the goal. That is what I would do if I were STILL married. I don't know what went wrong with our marriage.

lol PhxSuncat- she keeps reminding me Im not 20 anymore-about hockey and a few other things- oh that hurts!Ed, If it weren't for wives men would go thru life thinking they didn't have any faults. By the way, I haven't spoken to my wife in 1 year- I don't want to interrupt her. I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her first name was Always. From a biblical perspective, in the beginning God created earth and then rested. Then God created man and rested. Then God created woman. Since then neither God nor man has rested. The last fight was my fault. My wife asked, "Whats on TV?" I said, "Dust." kaboooooooooom. ------------------ Have a good time and be a good time.

Pretty funny stuff and mostly true. My wife was on her knees begging me. I was hiding under the bed and she begged me to come out where she would have a clear shot. All babies are born male and then God knocks off the extra parts on the DUMB ones. Think these will get any response??? It's just jokes, we really don't mean it. I listened to my mom and did what she told me for the first 20 years of my life, then I got married and listened and obeyed my wife for the next 20 years. At 40 I got divorced and now I can finally do what I want. I repeat that these are just jokes, no hate mail or mail bombs.
