Has anyone tried the Protectall Car Wash stuff? What did you think of it?

I've never tried it, but have been thinking about doing it. I thought if someone had experience with it, that might save me some grief and expense.

Ted - I have some in the garage but I have not tried it yet. I keep trying to find time to wash the kat...

Maybe this week I will be able to do it.

Black looks good when its clean but it sucks trying to keep it that way. Does protect all prevent water spots? And anyone know where to get it in Northern VA. I have been to a few places but no one seems to have it.

Jason, after washing your kat you just wipe it down with protect all and your done. No waterspots and a nice shiney finish!!

You can find it at wal-mart in the RV section or at camper world.

You can find a picture of the blue bottle at protectall.com

WHAT???? You gotta be kidding me right????? For 8.95 a bottle I expect, no I demand that it last at least 3 months!!!!! LOL.

Actually, the kat doesn't look too bad, I drove it to work and we have those purple flower trees here (jacaranda sp? Fixumm can spell it I am sure) that make a mess of everything. I have clear spots that you can feel but not see all over it, kinda makes it sparkle a bit LOL. Yes, Yes, it needs a wash... but when to do it... baseball, Gina getting the screws out of her knee, boys graduation (wooohooo middle school, here they come), all-stars, mother moving in... geesh, I need a break!

Does protect all prevent water spots?

The ProtectAll car wash shouldn't make water spots. I remember the ads in the camping magazines when I had my motorhome. They said you could wash a whole motorhome with a gallon of water! That's the part that has me interested. My car rarely is dirty enough to get the hose out, but I though something like this might get some of the surface stuff off and be easier to use than a spray and shine.

The ProtectAll wax does not prevent water spots. A water spot is caused by minerals or stuff disolved in the water. The water on the car evaporates and leaves the minerals and stuff behind. That is the water spot. With ProtectAll on the car, the spots wipe right off with a little spray and shine.
