Roger,

George is a great guy. I recently made the five hour drive one way to pick up some parts from him. I anticipated about an hour for visiting but was still there five hours later before making the five hour trip back home.

He is one of those folks that is an absolute joy to visit with, he has a garage that would be difficult to ever leave.
If he was closer, I would probably be over there once a week if his wife would permit it.

I thought it was Ken that made the long pins, but I could very well be wrong. I bought some in Tulsa but I don't remember who I got them from.

Don McCormack ( Northern Cat) made 100 sets of the long pins, dubbed dragon pins.

I think Don only made 55 sets, up from the original plan of 50 sets.

Scott Curtis, Obi-Wan, made several sets of long pins before his passing away.

Didn't TGF also offer them to hardtop buyers who were having fit problems?

TGF made some longer pins for their tops just before the last group buy I think. I know I got them with my top. I also bought some pins in Tulsa. Some were having a problem with the TGF pins loosening as well. I think the pins I got in Tulsa had a special gripping washer with them that seems to have eliminated the loosening of the pins.

Any of you guys in Az know what became of Scott's remaining inventory? He claimed to have some things in stock for sale.

He recently told me he made 100 but he might have meant 100 pins, not sets. I had problems with one of them seizing up and I had to cut it off with bolt cutters.

Mickey, you bought some of Northern Cats in AZ. I had some of them to deliver there and so did Frank. I knew TGF had some that they were using later on but have never seen one of them and have no idea how many were made.
Obi's was a little over priced.
