I was between service calls this morning and had a little time on my hands.

There was an Ollie's store in Randallstown MD so I went in to look around and it cost me.

They had a table with model kits including 17 Black Tie Prowler's, Not any more At 3.99 each I could not help it.

If you are in the market for one or more, and there is an Ollie's in your area, there is a chance they may also have some of these kits.

Other Testors brand 1/43 scale metal models (Pre Painted) that I saw were Vipers, AC Cobra's, '73 Mustang Mach 1's,
'32 Ford Highboy's and more that I do not remember at the moment.

These Prowler kits need assembled and although it would be a shame to alter them, they could be painted to match your car then assembled, you know...airbrush that flame job or other paint scheme.

Just thinking out loud here.

Thanks for the heads up Andria. I had never been to Ollie's. One just opened here recently. They had a bunch of them and I bought 3. They also had Dodge Charger kits.
I stopped at another week-end only outlet nearby and they had a Craftsman 18" electric chain saw for $ 60. It said it wouldn't start. I asked if they had an extension cord and tried it out. They had the chain brake engaged so it fired right up. Brand new, never used for $ 60. I have another one exactly like it and I needed a new chain, which would have cost about $ 30. I wouldn't have gotten the chain saw if I hadn't read your post and gone model car hunting.
Thanks

Ed,
When are you going to have time to put together model car kits, if you haven't even got around to get that Prowler go-cart fired up yet ???

Warning, Danger,

If you have never been to an Ollie's before, it can be addicting.

You will find yourself returning from time to time and spending more money.

Please accept my apologies in advance for addicting you.

Michael, the kid down the street loves my cars and makes models. I will give him two of them and he can make one for me and one for himself.
I would have to let Sandy make it. I am not capable of sitting still that long and have no patience whatsoever so when I screw up the first piece, I would quit. She does all the "fine work" around here. She won't even let me caulk around the bathtub.
On a side note, I cut down the neighbor's 65 foot pine tree that was 4 feet from his house, last Sunday. Sandy climbed up 55 feet and tied the rope around it to insure it dropped where I needed to drop it. I let her do the dangerous work, too.

Ed,
Hopefully you taught her about using a "wet" finger while she was doing her caulking.....YOU ARE THE MAN !

Sure glad we do not have an Ollies in South Carolina or I would be in the same fix as Andria. Especially when I own a Black Tie.

JeraneW,

If someone close to your heart doesn't mail one to you, let me know and I will. This is what a SON would do for you!!

Broakie,

He already has a couple of them, he even managed to put one together.

Every time I buy something Prowler related, I wind up buying two. One for me, one for Dad. That is what a daughter does.

At some point he might tell me to stop because he has run out of room for all this stuff.

If you look closely at my Avatar, you will see Dad's Black Tie behind my car.
