The First Ever Prowler Window Regulator Party was held in Sunny Chandler, AZ this past Saturday. In attendence were a dozen Prowler owners who gathered to disassemble their doors and repair and reinforce their window regulators once and for all. We used a combination of all the different reapir methods described on POA, and then we improvised! 12 owners, 24 regulators, no surprises - everything came apart and went back together without issue.
The only problem we ran into had nothing to do with regulators. One owner had his red-headed Optima battery go flat while in the garage. No big deal though - a quick run to Costco for a bettery exchange got everything squared away.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.

So easy, even a caveman can do it!

What a great idea you guys came up with !!! Especially that I've had a broken regulator for two years. I had both door panels off when I replaced the speakers but am afraid to tackle the window assembly.

When I bought mine, they came straight, not in an S curve. The box is 4'-5" long x 2'4" wide. Can someone with a trailer tell me if the box will fit in the Prowler trailer? Mine is in storage til the trip. I was thinking of bringing them to Branson if there was someone there willing to do a preinstall fix on them that was going to Branson too. I assume that they would also need to somehow form them correctly prior to doing the fix.

Hey Curt, It looks like you had a good turnout and an excellent idea for a get together. I wish I could have been there. Hopefully we can do it again during the winter months. I'm back in ND farming. Its been a wet cool spring but we are getting some crop in the ground. Still planning to make it to Branson, so maybe see some of you there. Rich

idive - what box are you referring to?
The window reg shipping box I saw was about 18" sqaure.
Are you saying your window reg came in a 4 1/2 foot box?

Curt > one window regulator I bought new from Jeff Hunter,,,,came in a OEM box about 48" long,,,X 28" tall.

I paid $262, which included $10 for shipping,,,which I thought was very reasonable at the time.
