We have 19 rooms booked at Casion Magic in Bay St. Louis (list attached) and 15 rooms at the Holiday Inn in Gonzales for the Prowler Drags (list attached for Friday night the 11th). We do have some of our CTC attendees staying at different Hotels along the MS Gulf Coast.
2nd Annual Prowler Drags ... Http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000452.html Please email me if you have any questions or post under the Events section. Cruisin the Coast 2002 begins on Wednesday, Oct 9th and runs through Sunday, Oct. 13th. This is one terrific time with lots of entertainment, classic cars, auction, casino activities, vendors, Poker Run, $15,000 Cash drawing ($500 each), Drag Racing & just having a good time. Last year there were over 4,000 registered cars (over 20 Prowlers). Cruisin the Coast (CTC) covers the 25 miles of beach front roads along the Mississippi Gulf Coast between Biloxi & Bay St. Louis. There are five Cruise-in spots with Stages set up for the Free entertainment on Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Your CTC registration Fee gives you the chance to win a portion of the $15,000 Cash Drawing, Poker Run participation & access to restricted parking areas at all entertainment sites. In addition, the 15 or so Casinos offer free entertainment and some for a fee during this weekend. However, you can still attend CTC without registering, but you won't be able to access the parking or a chance to win the Cash drawings. CTC registration Fee is $40 prior to Aug. 15th. After Aug. 15th & on-site is $55. Here's the CTC web site. Or you can Call 1-888-808-1188 for auto registration. This is not structured or Prowler only event. You're free to follow me or do your own thing. This is a free wheeling Cruise with lots of activities and I'm sure you'll find something to your liking (It's kinda like making your own Banna Split). You can tailor your stay to select, participate and change your plans (even at last minute) to meet your desires.... In addition, I've put plans together to host the 2nd Annual Prowler Speed or Power Festival during Cruisin the Coast. See the other topic 2nd Annual Prowler Speed Weekend. Maybe we could have a large Prowler Gathering at the Bay St. Louis Casino Magic parking lot on Saturday morning and have our on parade of Prowlers along with all the other classic cars.... Lots of activities, Hotels, Casinos & things to do... Here's an overview of the CTC schedule. Please check the CTC web site for more specific schedules as we get closer to the date. Wednesday, Oct. 9th Thursday, Oct. 10th Friday, Oct. 11th Saturday, Oct. 12th Sunday, Oct. 13th Are you ready for some Cruisin'... Anyone making this event will not regret their trip. It will be well worth it.We had I think 15 or more prowlers last year, 3 vipers, plenty PTs and thousands of awesome rods. The events are outstanding as are the performers. Laddie always puts together at least one day of a great get together for everyone. This cruise is like going back into the 50s for five great days with about 50 miles of cruising with wall to wall hotrods or all kinds. People dressed like the 50s, the cruise in stops like ARNOLDS in the movie American Graffiti. It is truly one of a kind something you don't want to miss. ------------------ |

Just had a call from Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis. They said a few people making reservations had a problem & they are trying to straighten out their system. The Magic asked that when you call ask for: The Prowler Owner Association Group or use Reservation # PRO1009... Sorry for any inconvience, they said they are working to fix it... ------------------ |

Bob - why don't you design a seat with belts to hold you in place that fits in the trailer. Make sure you leave enough room for a cooler and we will drag you behind us at the next event. PS - check for AP/brace going in mail today!! Marty

Marty, I've seen the way you drive and I for one would not ride in the trailer with you behind the wheel. But I am sure I can find some gal to take over my driving dutys after the sun goes down. I think I will have to attend this one also because I have way to much fun when your around. |

Laddie - I know we talked about this in Denver, but wanted to be sure I understood correctly. If we are coming for boith events, it would probably be better to book hotel room at Bay St. Louis and then just drive over to No Problem Raceway the day of the races. Do you think we should plan on returning same evening of races or get room near there for one night? If we choose to stay in Bay St. Louis, will there be a Kat-A-Van planned to No Problem or will you supply directions? Thanks We are looking forward to being there. Marty |

Marty. My plans were for the Cruisin the Coast attendees, to kat-a-van over from Bay St. Louis to No Problem Raceway on Friday morning & caravan back that night to Bay St. Louis. However, depending how many people are interested in the Prowler Drags, my recommendation might be to book a room in Gonzales, LA for Friday night & kat-a-van back to Bay St. Louis on Saturday morning & check back into the Casino Magic for Saturday night...Right now I have reservations at both hotels and I'm planning to stay in the Holiday Inn in Gonzales on Friday night... And, I'll lead the Kat-a-van back to Bay St. Louis on Saturday morning... And, my plans for those staying in Gonzales, LA (for the Prowler Drags) they could Kat-a-van over to Bay St. Louis on Saturday morning & meet up with the Cruisin the Coast Prowlers at Casino Magic between 10:00 am & 11:00 am. Than return to Gonzales Saturday night or just book one night (Saturday) at the Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis. I will have directions. In addition, I'm Planning to arrange for someone to help with the Kat-a-van from each location. |

As of last week we had six people registered at the Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis & two people registered at the Holiday Inn in Gonzales, LA. The Casino Magic is sold out for Saturday night. Now, I have 30 rooms on hold until Sept. 1st. So, if you're thinking about coming, you need to make reservations. You are free to make reservations at any hotel you wish... The MS tourist bureau has a phone number on the CTC web site to help with reservations. Also, CTC pre registration ends on Aug. 15th... |

Ed, Rich. Staying in Gonzales all four nights would be a pain if you wanted to do Cruisin the Coast on other days... If you're just going for the drags, Gonzales is the best place. You could make it to Cruisin the Coast on Saturday & drive back into Gonzales for Saturday night... Gulfport to Gonzales is 140 miles or so... There's lots of entertainment at night along the coast tied into CTC... I'm going to stay in Gonzales on Friday night to hang with those people that are just there for the Prowler Drags. And, I will lead the caravan back to Gulfport on Saturday morning... The Prowler Drags will be over by 5:00 pm... Now, some folks may decide to race again Friday night along with the Tracks normal Friday night Trophy Bracket racing... Casino Magic is sold out on Saturday night. There are still 20 rooms available under the POA for Saturday night... I had 30 rooms on hold for Wed. through Sat. nights with checkout on Sunday... |

Cruisin the Coast pre Registration cutoff is Aug. 15th... After Aug. 15th registration is on site... Check out the CTC web site.... Again, you don't have to register for CTC to attend or cruise. The fee entitles you to a parking sticker (for preferred parking), Chance to win $15,000, & the poker run. If I was only going on Saturday, I don't think I would register. Saturday night there will be entertainment at Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis: The Van Dells on Lobby Stage There's lots of parking at the Bay St. Louis Casino Magic location. |

I just started production on the 2002 Prowler SHIMMERS dash plaques today for the participants... how many do think we will need? Also, how many 2001 do we need for those who attended last year... somehow, as this event was a last minute thing for us, I forgot to make them. Best wishes, Jay |

Hi Jay. The shimmers dash plaques are a very nice idea. Thanks. Between CTC & 2nd Annual Prowler Drags, I'm expecting between 40 & 50 Prowlers this year. Last year, I think we had 21 or so Prowlers that I counted.. Never got to meet all the owners last year. There were 10 of us that cruised together... |
