Anyone running this roll pan and wanting to install a hitch, you can have both with a little creative cutting. If you want the measurements, I can save you a lot of time fitting it.

Gas station, pizza to go, convenience store with **alcohol sales, and of course, pay restroom facilities. Being out in the middle of nowhere, between Phoenix and Kingman on the way to Vegas,,,,it has potential for big cash profits **alcohol is the primary cause of the many vehicle accidents and fatalities along this stretch of U.S. highway 93 This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 06-02-2012 at 10:35 AM |

Larry I think you should name your town SOMETHING. That way, when you retire you could sell SOMETHING. Post signs everywhere. SOMETHING FOR SALE. NEXT TO NOTHING. This message has been edited by idive on 06-02-2012 at 08:01 PM |

Hey Roland, these guys feel they need to comment on our choices of roll pans. Let's quickly rip them off because they are at the center of the universe and their views are all that really matter

well it hides the stock appearance which is black cooler, aluminum cross member and multiple bolt ends. When I had it off recently, I couldn't wait to get it back on. As far as heat, I think it actually cools the tranny by scooping up air when moving forward. Having the hitch on, softens the appearance of "ductwork" which you all seem to hate so much. While working with it, I noticed that it is well made and high quality stainless.

Beachkat I have the same rollpan as you and would like to know how you fitted it w/the Mopar trailer hitch? They say,as you probably know, they can't be used together. How'd ya do it? Thanx Dave |

Dave, you have to cut the top to the shape shown in the first post. I then applied door edge molding to the cut edge just for safety (the cut edge can be sharp). The unit is surprisingly stable when cut. I used regular snips to cut it. The SS mesh is very hard, so you need some HD side cutters for it. If you want, I can take some measurements to save you some time. I had it off and on about six times before getting it right. |
