I did look into the supercharger route but only Paxton made an application and they tell me they have discontinued it for the Prowler.

Before you spend money on Turbo's & superchargers, You should watch the Vegas Video's as they were NO FASTER than the stock Prowler, The Dragstrip proved that. Even with the gears, they were able to get a jump on the next car , but the stock Prowler caught the other with gears about a quarter of the way down the track. You can only get so much out of the v6 s . A stock Prowler turned the BEST time at the strip, overpowering the gears , turbo & supercharger. Is the cost really worth it ? In my opinion, You are better off stock.

CORRECTION: Jim Angle had fast time at the strip and yes his car has a Paxton Supercharger installed.

Two things about super chargers. These often throw belts. I have witnessed this on several occasions, In fact one did in Vegas. I also spoke with another owner as I was leaving Friday morning. He was removing his grille for the trip home. He said with both the gears and the super charger installed he was over heating pulling a Prowler trailer. Just food for thought.

Supercharger, turbo, or stroker mod to the Prowler?

Below,,is what I posted in August of 2009, and still stand behind with what I said back then:

It makes no difference to me Phil but it may make a difference to Jim.
Just setting the record straight for the SECOND time.

Is it worth it?
Apparently it is to Jim. He spent his own money on his own car for a supercharger that he feels is worth it.

I would love to add a supercharger to my Prowler. The biggest thing is the tune, if its tuned properly, it will perform.

i did a ton of research on everything prowler performance before going hemi. I would say at this time. The best and easiest speed mod first is headers and gears. Do that first and see if it satifies you.

Next without going crazy with a ton of custom mods. I would say in whats advailable today and to be the most reliable would then be a westech 4.2 stroker motor.
Everything pretty much stays the same inside but more power.ITs not cheap at all but probally the most straight foward without going crazy.
A hemi is major investment and time. That stroker is solid and maybe you can get another 75-90Hp

im not sure if its worth it but if you really want more those are the advailable options
