Ok, So I have removed everything, cleaned it all and started reinstallation, but just can't get the new ceramic pads over the new discs. I know there is a trick but I have never replaced disc brake pads before and am dumb!!!!! |

Use a pair of c-clamp vice grips or a standard c-clamp to push the piston back into the caliper. If you have added brake fluid, drain some out because the reservoir will overflow when you push the piston back. |

You may need to open the reservior to release pressure when pushing the pistons in. Refill any that overflows out during this. Be sure not to hit your brakes with the reservior cap off! |

Larry is right. What I usually do is use the old pad, place it over the piston and then use a C clamp. I find this helps in retracting the piston and I don't damage anything. |

Thank you all. Once I understood the principal, it was a piece of cake. I just never have replaced disc pads before and am cautious of forcing anything if I don't know that it is the correct thing to do. |
