WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE X-PIPE? SHOULD YOU PUT THE MUFFLER AND X-PIPE ON OR WILL THE MUFFLER ALONE DO? DON'T KNOW MUTCH ABOUT THE EXHAUST. WILL IT JUST BOLT ON OR IS THERE ANY CUTTING OR WELDING? SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO DO. THANKS,MEL

The X pipe equalizes the exhaust pressure and changes the sound somewhat. You won't have to weld anything. Getting the old one off will be the most work.

rebel,
i just two month ago i but the sweet thunder 24" x-pipes and the G-force gears in my Kant and i tell you it will change a lot.....its a lot more fun and sound.
to change the gears it will take you around 2-3 hours and to change the mufflers only around 30 min.
nothing with bing and bang.....the original mufflers come off my 2000s really nicely and pretty easy.

i think every car-shop can do it. i did mine in a us-car shop down here in Milan without any problems. the instruction you get together with the gears to install them are good and easy.

Yes, the hardest part was where the stainless met the other pipes. They almost welded together. I could have never have done it on my back on the floor..
