Just acquired my Prowler with the bumpers removed and custom lights installed where the struts were. Is it legal in Ohio to have the bumpers removed? I thought I needed a front and back license plate in Ohio. If the front bumper is removed, there is no place to install the front license plate. Help! |

Put the front plate under your seat,,,,if stopped, put it up on the dash. I don't believe many Ohio Prowler owners run with a front plate attached? WELCOME TO THE POA,,,,,,,,,,post often!!! ENJOY THE RIDE ------------------ Call 911 - there is a Prowler in my garage.... Larry Salzman - Phx/Mesa, Arizona |

Welcome Prowlerfrek, I have never had a front plate on my Prowler, most of us do not. By law we are required. My wife has had two Sebring Convertible's and we have never had a front plate on either of those two cars. Do as Alley Cat suggested and you should be fine. I have a brother that lives in Beavercreek. Enjoy your Prowler. |

In Ohio the front plate is law. Silly but true. I would take Alley Cat's advise. I bought my dad a 91 Caprice which did not have a front plate bracket (Michigan car) and he drove it until the day he died (2004) with no hassel from the police. He kept the plate in the trunk, just in case. As far as the bumbers are concerned, I don't think the police will even know that the Prowler came with them! Drive and enjoy the fun!! |

I suspect that if a policeman pulls you over for this reason, then, he was just looking for any excuse to stop you. If so, you would have been pulled over anyway. For whatever excuse he could think up. JMO |

I got my Prowler early 2003 from Ohio, with a mills blinker relocation set. I made a Custom licens frame holder like on the pic. |

I thought that the pouch behind the passenger seat was the correct placement for the front plate |

Prowlerfrek, Welcome to the POA and congrats on the cat. What year and color? We are pretty active down here in Cincy with about 20 regulars that make it to most "local events". None of us have front plates and I just took off my front bumpers. You could get very unlucky and get a ticket but I would not worry about it. |
