Jey JD, no influence here except maybe over a few trout and white fish.. Been fishing the last 4 days on the Roaring Fork River (great weather, scenery, friends and oh yeah...some fantastic fishing). Thanx for the call and the job lead.  |

Most of us all agree..... that we can disagree.....yet still be friends. Many of us post our political views here...... and I don't think anyone here thinks they can convert anyone. It is just fun banter. Ed, Robert, Rich, AC, and myself offer our oppinions...... and it is all okay. I must agree with JD though........ "if ya ain't happy with what is happening in Washington, then do something". This is a Democracy we live in..... go out and VOTE when your local and state elections come around. WE IN THE STATE OF VIRGINIA did just that today. WE SHOWED WASHINGTON......we are no longer happy campers. NOT ONE DEMOCRAT WAS ELECTED IN OUR STATE, County and Local ELECTIONS TODAY. NOT ONE !!!! The same holds true for several other states who had important elections today. Every election is important. Go out and vote when it is your turn in, in your state, in your town. Throw out all of the encumbants..... put some new people in office!! It is our country..... our state and our town....We as a group can change present policy. It is your obligation as an American and a citizen of your local area to put in place the people you feel will help this country as a whole. Okay....I'm off my soapbox...... NEXT |

They long ago removed "re-elect" or "incumbant" from the our ballots. Today's local election removed any party affiliation as well as the straight party vote. They're trying like hell to keep the power by making it harder on the voter. Most people get out and vote the bigger elections, but when it comes to what's really happening around you, its the local elections that count, and so few vote in them. We had a low turnout here today. The news stated that the election folks didn't want it getting out that turnout was so low for fear that others would feel it didn't matter and not show to vote either. Kind of an ironic report there... could there have been an agenda in reporting that? |

JD how do you like how this thread is being used for political discussion? Gotta love the internet!!!!! CJ, that trip was one of the best Road Warrior Prowler trips I've made and your pictures captured it perfectly. I had such a great time at SEMA with "special" passes and cruising on the Strip. JD and I doing taking off from the stop light in front of Treasure Island with just a little smoke, seeing Cirque O and even the tour of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead at sunset. I'm glad you have them all laid out CJ, thanks. That was a fun day mostly,,, lol... Yes the Kat is still in CA,, not to far from me. I can see it about three times a year at Goodguys. Next time I do come across it I will take some pics of the engine bay. I had it done pretty nice, but the new owner out did me. Said there was nothing he do to make the outside any better then it already was. Now,,, where did I put Marc's vid,,, hmmmmmmm |
