I was recently told that thhose that win a medal or more in the Olympics will be taxed on the value of that medal/prize, (if this is true) I wonder if Obama paid a tax for his medal, you know the one the Nobel Peace Prize.

aparently that prize was worth 1.4 million US$

I don't recall hearing anything about those proceeds.
