And yet Obama and the Democratic Congress did nothing the past few years. I guess they don't want to be two faced since Pelosi's husband and Kerry's wife did crooked deals and got help from the gov't. Report back on the facts of that, will you. |

quote: GE CEO Immelt to Lead White House Advisory Council by Dustin Ensinger on January 21, 2011 - 2:20pm The move may make business leaders happy, but average workers should be less than excited. Immelt has consistently supported the same failed trade policies that have cost America millions of jobs. As the leader of one of the world’s largest companies, he has been at the forefront of the outsourcing movement. “You would have difficulty finding a company that has outsourced more jobs and closed more American factories than GE,” Scott Paul, Executive Director of the Alliance for American Manufacturing writes. “While they have slashed their American workforce to fewer than 150,000, GE has dramatically expanded its global presence, now employing over 300,000 workers worldwide.” In the past, Immelt was a vocal supporter for China’s entry into the World Trade Organization. He also spoke out against the proposed “buy American” provision. Now Immelt is bringing those same worn out ideas to the White House, where he will lead the newly created council, which will replace the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board. “Immelt's prescription for boosting manufacturing harkens back to the days of bloodletting as a medical procedure -- bad policy with consistently poor results,” Paul writes. Immelt, like the president, harps about exports, exports, exports, which is fine. Except in the big scheme of things, exports do not matter one iota unless you discuss their relation to imports. America can double exports in the next five years and still lose tens of thousands of jobs each year if the amount of imports it accepts increases accordingly. “We must set as our highest economic priority not just increasing our exports, as the president has pledged, but also making the United States the world's leading exporter in the 21st century,” Immelt writes in The Washington Post. Immelt also believes that America needs more free trade, not less. More free enterprise, less regulation. More open borders, less tariffs. “We should seek to conclude trade and investment agreements with other fast-growing markets and modernize our systems for export finance and trade control,” he writes “Those who advocate increasing domestic manufacturing jobs by erecting trade barriers have it exactly wrong.” Immelt’s fervor for free trade, and other jobs-killing policies makes him perhaps the worst choice for the job. “Immelt has fooled the media and the White House into believing that he cares about American manufacturing jobs,” Paul writes. “I have a hard time imagining a worse pick, unless Obama would have tapped Immelt's predecessor Jack Welch, who seemed fine with the idea of putting factories on barges in search of the lowest wages in the world.” |

I just watched some of the other videos related to it. To the right there are some other posters and a second, follow up post by that orangegold guy. Very convincing. He shows it step by step and disproves what the doubters brought up. Hopefully Panetta and Hillary will eventually talk about Sunday's decision making process. |

Robert, Why doesn't he release ALL that information. We know all about ALL of the other Presidents, we know NOTHING about him. His birth certificate lists his dad's birthplace as Kenya, which didn't exist until 2 years after BHO was born. The hospital was a different name back then, also. Google Kenya, it was formed in 1963, certified in 1964. Why is everything so secret? |
