Jason, Christian and I went to one of our last scheduled shows for this season on Saturday morning, October 31 2009. We brought the Yellow, the Mulholland and the Go Kart in the Monster trailer since it was about a hundred mile drive there. The day started off kind of chilly, but it turned out to be a beautiful day.

We entered the two Kats in the Open Class. Jason won First with the Yellow and I took second with the Mulholland. Christian took First in the Youth Class, which got him a pretty big trophy, a picture with Miss Czech Fest and he got to meet, got a hug from and an autographed picture with Miss Texas, Kristen Blair. That boy had too much fun, and his Daddy and I were really getting jealous!

They had about a hundred cars there. Here are some pictures:

Thanks Willie, yes he is all 7 year old boy, and exactly like his daddy!!! He was so proud because he was finally able to reach the peddles of the go car, and asked if he could drive it from the Monster Trailer to the show parking area. We let him drive in line between us when we drove in, and it was a pretty good distance. If you look at the third pic in the third of my posts, you can see the Black Monster trailer off in the distance over the roofline of the Edsel next to the 54 Crown Vic. When we got ready to take them back, Christian had dozens of people waiting to watch him drive off, and were giving him a round of applause as he drove out with us. He was a pretty proud little man after that day!

When we were on our way home, he sat back in the truck and said, "Wow, I learned to drive today, and I'm only seven" !!!

He is not spoiled, just well loved!!!

I see Christian got broke in right when it comes to driving his Prowler... with a police escort! (Or did you play it smart and put Jason in the lead?)
Way to go guys!

Thanks guys, if we could have hauled the Purple Kat too, then we might have made a clean sweep!!!
What a great way to spend a beautiful Saturday with your family than out with your Kats too!

Geno, it was at Miller's Park, off 3rd St and Shell Ave. A really nice park to have a show, but I had a hard time getting the Monster Trailer around on those narrow streets!

Mickey, Christian did follow me in and Jason was following him making sure he was stopping when he was supposed to!!! The kid did a great job driving on the streets with us, and it was a pretty long way to get back to the entrance from where the Monster Trailer was parked.

Hope to start working on it in the next month. We have had so much going on with Jamie's wedding, Kylie's performances and Kristian's scouting events that after football season (although we are in the playoffs and it will continue for some time) we should be able to take a breath. Every weekend is consumed these days, but at least I have the bulk of what I need to get them going since I have been picking up a little at a time. Can't wait to get started on the body and the chassis and get them completed!! I will make sure and send you a pick when it's ready. I know the kids will be really excited.
