Tom Mills has just started production of a totally redesigned unit that will last a lifetime. Steve Clark has installed one in his car and proclaimed it a total success.
I don't know if Tom has any ready to ship, but it will be worth a short wait to get the new unit from him vs. the old OEM unit. His will last.

Jim > you missed the Prowler window regulator fix party in Chandler,,,a few weeks back.

We could have got you back in business with a temporary fix,,,,but I'd suggest emailing Tom Mills and getting his newly designed, vastly improved,, window regulators

Hi Alley Cat. I wish I had been there. How big a job is it to put the temporary fix on this thing? I plan on putting the new one on when they are ready. Maybe a temporary fix until then. Thanks again. Jim

Jim > depends on how your mechanical skills are? I wouldn't say its hard to do,,,,,but then,,,,for some people it might be a challenge doing it alone without help. I had the advantage of watching it done by another person first,,,,then taking on the project.

If the regulator is broke on the guide areas,,,,its not repairable. Most are repairable for a temporary fix.

Ally Cat that is some job you have done. Great work. If I need a coronary by pass I will call upon you. Will give it a try and see if my problem is the same as yours. Sure sounds like it. The motor works but window will only go up a quarter and then half cocked. Will let you know the outcome. Thanks from an appreciative Prowler owner. Thanks again. Jim a/k/a Bd-Dnky

Jim > that's not my work,,,,,,that work, the ideas, improvements, etc, etc. came from members Kraut, catfish, wallygator, onecatnodog, and one other dude who I forgot his name now. I was just leading you to links to help you out with the fix until you get a Tom Mills unit.

If you need the coronary bypass,,,,,we have a owner in Scottsdale > Dr. Todd Kile, black Prowler,,,Mayo Clinic Hospital. We call him BONES! He can bust your sternum open

Good luck! I'd be more help to you,,,but I'm getting our car ready for vacation time trip.
